This is just my humble opinion!......Neil played a blinder of a concert last night in Manchester, and I have no complaints about the standard of music, etc. He is truly amazing keeping up such a high professional standard with material he has performed for over 30 years (some of it anyway), and he was as usual the consumate professional. This did not detract from the fact that he must also be the sexiest pensioner ever!
My only complaint is the whole marketing thing....like we paid £60 for each ticket, another £70 between two of us for travel to the venue, then his tour brochure is £15 (yes I appreciate the profits go to charities), then he has the audacity to ask well over 20 quid for a t-shirt (and the designs weren't really much different to previous tour shirts). Come on Neil (and Rae who probably makes these decisions for him), it's not like you need the money! Why charge such, in my opionin, extortionate prices for merchandise? I was one sad person who had to leave without a t-shirt as I just could not afford both a tour book AND a t-shirt....sob sob...
oh and the ultimate insult - signs all over the place informing us that NO photography was allowed at the request of Mr. Diamond. I appreciate he does not want professionals with zoom lenses getting better pics than his entourage, but what harm in us ordinary people getting a few long distance snaps of our hero?
