Pharmacarma - Martina

1975: “Love Is The Drug”; 2008: “Everything Is A Drug”

Vienna: Mysterious Viennese electric trancedance upstarts Pharmacarma want to make one thing clear with their debut single on Accompong Records: “Everything is a Drug”. And the message is spreading across Europe and around the world, where ever people get together for the twin drugs of music and dancing.

Born in the basements and ‘burbs of Austria, Pharmacarma features the amazing, versatile voice of Martina Eory, a classically trained singer who would be dealing with the decadence of Mozart if she’d been born 300 years earlier.

Her voice embraces jazz, blues, soul, and even chanson, and has taken her to China and beyond, in addition to gracing a barrage of great Austrian dance records. In Pharmacarma, she has teamed up with a mysterious, MIDI monster and beat meister, who put together this dark, dangerous, and decidedly timely slice of modern life.

Buy “Everything is a Drug” on iTunes

The song is available in three mixes - the original electro single, a funky house remix by Shroombab of Junglistic Sistaz fame, and a tech house remix by Remote, who is already spinning the song in the abandoned warehouses and streets across Europe, where he and his Kurbelwave Crew throw their exclusive mobile parties.

All three mixes are available on Accompong Records’ website and via iTunes, Amazon.mp3, eMusic and Rhapsody. DeeJays can download lossless wav files at Juno Download.

On your favorite music website, just keep your eyes open for the cover that looks like a package of anti-depressants. Then open your ears.
