Jim Driscoll & Jenny May – NEW music – Oxford, UK

colors

Things have been quite busy around here lately. There’s been a never ending ’sack’ full of press and news coming in for bands from around the world, which I LOVE because it’s such a great way of keeping up with new music – everyday.

Band Weblogs is continuing in the tradition of helping to spread the word about bands, musicians and new music by publishing press releases, reviews, live reviews, interviews as well as entries by guest music bloggers.

I’ve also been finding the time to get out there and play music around Oxford with singer/songwriter Jim Driscoll.

It’s been such a treat singing with him – so far at a few open mics like Catweazle Club and The Temple Bar on Cowley Road, Bookbinders in Jericho and a couple gigs including The Jericho Tavern and The Bell in Long Hanborough.

We’ve even been playing a few, quite adventurous, busking gigs (my first) down at the beautiful Iffley Lock on Sundays – depending on the weather! It’s fun watching the boats go by on the river while we play – and I think passersby find it interesting to see us there. There are tables as well as refreshments, which makes for a nice atmosphere.

We’ve just finished recording three songs that Jim has written: “Caroline”, “The River” and “Key To The Universe”.
