Strive’s album Fire gathers acclaim, rave reviews

Strive at Shine FM

GoDigital Records‘ piano-driven, rock/pop band Strive were featured as in-studio guests at WONU SHINE FM during the “The Rise And Shine Morning Show” last week (10/22). During the appearance, the station played the current single, “Smallest Things,” as well as the song “On Our Way,” both from the band’s critically acclaimed album and first global release, ‘Fire’. Pictured (l-r) at Shine FM’s studios are: Micah Bacheller, Strive bassist; Will Puth, Strive guitarist; Nicole Brennan, morning show producer; Derick Thompson, Strive lead vocalist/keyboardist/songwriter; and Rob Rodewald, news and morning show co-host.

GoDigital Records’ piano-driven, rock/pop band Strive garners acclaim for its first global release, ‘Fire’. Strive’s inspirational message has been compared to U2 with the arena-friendly style of The Fray and the sweeping piano-pop of Billy Joel and Bruce Hornsby. Drawing additional comparisons to megastars like Coldplay, Josh Groban and John Mayer, the band’s anthemic music has already hit a chord with music fans as the critics join the applause:

“There’s a catchiness, a certain ‘fire’ that burns within the trio, that helps to elevate Strive’s debut album beyond what was expected…what Strive does well is compose short and melodic songs that leave a mark on you. The best way to describe Strive is take John Mayer, Coldplay and Billy Joel and have them involved in a winner-take-all steel cage match covered in barbed wire made from piano strings.” – 411 Mania

“They are very good. And on top of it, great guys! It was a joy to have them on our show,” says Jill Sommers, The Urban Theater producer, MyMadison TV/WISC-TV (CBS, Madison, WI).

“With the piano-style of modern rock music becoming a growing trend in recent years, Strives’s latest album Fire has taken off quickly…Similar to The Fray and U2, STRIVE is fresh and gives you some great lyrics along with awesome vocals.” – CMSpin.com

In addition to the critical acclaim, Strive has been featured by Apple.com (Sept ‘08), MSN.com (Sept ‘08), Windows Media Guide (Sept ‘08), Imeem.com (Sept ‘08), AOL (Sept ‘08), Bebo.com (Sept ‘08), AmieStreet (Sept ‘08), Napster (Sept ‘08), ChristianMusicToday (Sept ‘08), Beliefnet.com (Sept ‘08), All Music Guide (Oct ‘08 “AMG Album Pick”), Soul-Audio.com (Aug 08) and numerous podcasts, including The Pillar Cast, Suitcase Full of Dimes, Atlantic Wave Radio, InsytWorks.com, (K)wekkerradio, TheDivaCast.com, Dalecast, Average Joe Radio, InsytWorks.com and more.

To date, over 615 television, radio and other press outlets in 61 countries have picked up “Smallest Things” and Fire. “Smallest Things” has also been featured on myTracks in the Pop category and featured as one of seven “Top Inspirational Realtones” on the popular ringtone service “theMob” (Oct ‘08). The song further landed a “pick of the day” on Myxer and has over 10,000 downloads on the popular ringtone service (Sept ‘08).

Voted as one of the fan favorites on five Top 10 lists on OurStage.com, as well as a favorite at MyCCM.com, Strive also surpasses the 2 million plays mark and 4.7 million views mark on MySpace (www.myspace.com/strive). Its music has been licensed for MTV’s The Real World, E!: Entertainment Television’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians and for Atomic Design Laboratory’s Tribulation Knights Christian adventure video game.

With ‘Fire’ available iTunes, Napster, Amazon, AmieStreet, Rhapsody, BestBuy.com, CircuitCity.com and other online and retail locations, more information regarding Strive can be found at:
