The crowd was so appreciative (a standing ovation as he took the stage before he'd sung a note) that I'm sure many would be happy to simply applaud all night (and some of them did) but even those thoroughly familiar with his repertoire were transfixed by the man delivering it live. A true master of his craft and yes, transplendent! I saw Leonard Cohen and his extraordinary band live in Sydney last night and I’m still coming down from the high.
