Bloody Awful Poetry return to the trendiest yet most louche of Soho haunts. The combination of live bands – tonight, the near – genius A.Human – the Confession Booth, the BAP Art Gallery and the world famous (seriously) Bloody Awful Poetry Competition – plus some surprises – is irresistible!

Tonight’s headliners: A.Human
Dalston-based A.Human tell stories about the damned, the lost, the strange and everything in between. Vintage keyboards punctuate soaring triggered samples whilst rolling drums make an epic backdrop to wry and amusing lyrics. Influences range from the art school originality of Talking Heads to the thoughtful dance music of New Order. Chaotic, unpredictable and frantic are some of the words to describe their live performance, but you must see them for yourself!

Their debut album ‘Third Hand Prophecy’ (2008) was heralded as a masterpiece by the British media, included in the year’s round-up of ‘6 Albums You Should Download’ Sunday Times Style, and number 4 in the ‘Top 10 Albums of the Year’ in the Independent.

They cemented their success at the summer’s most high profile festivals including Glastonbury, Dot to Dot, Lovebox and a residency at Ibiza Rocks, with ground breaking and unique shows creating a benchmark for live acts.
