The Phenomenal Handclap Band to perform in Europe with Franz Ferdinand, finish off the year in Australia

Headline Bowery Ballroom in NYC December 11th
NYC collective The Phenomenal Handclap Band will be performing their final NYC show of the year, headlining the Bowery Ballroom [6 Delancey St.] for the first time on Friday, December 11, 2009.
Opening will be Javelin and Eclectic Method. Show is 18+, Doors at 8pm.
The band has been playing select dates across North America with Simian Mobile Disco, Chromeo and Bajofondo among others in support of their self-titled debut on Friendly Fire Recordings.
They will return to Europe once more to play several dates with Franz Ferdinand, capping off the year with performances at festivals throughout Australia.

Led by Daniel Collás and Sean Marquand, (producers/musicians/pals/DJs), The Phenomenal Handclap Band has been touring behind their self-titled album, out now on Friendly Fire Recordings.
The album features contributions from their friends in TV on the Radio, Antibalas, The Dap Kings, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, L'Trimm, Calla, The Mooney Suzuki, Sí Se, and Honeycut among others. Live they are an 8-piece band, with a variety of special guests.
The band recently released a sizeable remix album for "15 to 20"/"You'll Disappear," featuring some of the finest electronic artists around the world, including Prins Thomas, Montee, Horse Meat Disco, Ilya Sanatana and more. They also released a video for the single, "15 to 20," a song RollingStone.com called "Summer's First Party Jam" and one of SPIN's "Songs You Must Hear Now!" Directed by Moh Azima, the video was filmed at various locations in New York City. The band also performed "15 to 20" for a recent Live on KEXP Session from the Cutting Room Studios in NYC.
