The Divine Crime, a 9-piece reggae, rock, pop, dub band representing Los Angeles, Ventura and Long Beach, CA releases their debut LP, Obliquity on February 2, 2010, featuring bonus tracks by legendary producer The Scientist.

The Divine Crime is known for their high-energy shows, female eye candy and contagious vibe. Already having supported legendary artists like Yellowman, Pato Banton, Barrington Levy, Steel Pulse and Haile Maskel, and current heavyweight headliners like Rebelution, Bushman, Tribal Seeds, the band is scheduled to tour throughout the west coast in support of their new album.
"It's been quite a journey - as traveling in a large pack can be. We are all supportive and inspired by one another's creativity musically and spiritually. It's what holds us together. This album incorporates so many elements of our backgrounds, its a true representation of who we are individually and as a whole," says Amee Jana, lead singer of The Divine Crime.
Featuring the former backing band of HR from Bad Brains, and east coast bred Amee Jana, The Divine Crime sets a new tone for reggae music. Incorporating elements of dancehall, dub, roots and even heavy rock, the band has a raw live feel and uninhibited stage presence. With a 9-piece band, you can imagine, that anything can happen.
Obliquity will be available after Feb 2, 2010 on iTunes.com, CDBaby.com, Amazon.com and at select retail outlets nationwide.
