Jennette asked her fans to help pick the first single through a poll on AOL's The Boot featuring six snippets of songs from her album.

"Not That Far Away" written by Jennette McCurdy, Rachel Proctor and Blair Daly, was the highest voted song.

"This song really captures the last year of my life," shares Jennette. "I've been in Nashville writing for and recording my record and following my dream while really missing my family and friends back in Garden Grove, California."

Jennette is currently on a radio tour visiting country radio stations across the country and will begin filming another season of iCarly this summer.

Her debut album was produced by Paul Worley (Lady Antebellum) and will be released this Fall.

The 17 year-old Garden Grove, California native signed to Capitol Records Nashville in the Summer of 2009.

A fan of country music since being introduced to Patsy Cline by her grandmother at an early age, Jennette began writing songs and poetry when she was seven years old in a red notebook with a picture of an owl. A few years ago, Jennette began to seriously focus on her songwriting by setting up daily writing sessions after iCarly tapings and on the weekends. In 2009 she independently released the single "So Close," which she co-wrote, to iTunes. The single hit #16 on the iTunes Country Chart and caught the attention of Capitol Records Nashville.
