Secondhand Serenade Returns With Acoustic EP 'Weightless'
The official release of Weightless is out now - a new collection of five acoustic songs from Secondhand Serenade (aka singer/songwriter John Vesely) - which include "You and I" from his most recent full length release Hear Me Now, and a cover of the Neon Trees song "Animal."

The new EP - which you can fully stream, currently on AOL Music - marks a return to Vesely's roots as an acoustic songwriter, and was self-produced alongside longtime drummer Tom Breyfogle at his home studio in Los Angeles, CA.
Mixed by F. Reid Shippen (Death Cab For Cutie, A Fine Frenzy, Cage The Elephant, The Jonas Brother), these tracks are available in digital format only and can be ordered from iTunes and Amazon.
Originally signing with Glassnote Records after reaching the top spot on MySpace's Unsigned Artists Chart in 2006, Secondhand Serenade's self-produced, acoustic debut Awake was re-released in February of 2007.
Fans soon gravitated to John's heart-on-his-sleeve approach and with the release of 2008's A Twist In My Story and 2010's Hear Me Now, Secondhand Serenade became a full band for the first time, pushing John from internet phenomenon to budding rock star.

Secondhand Serenade is currently on a full acoustic tour of North America - including a date in Brooklyn, NY at the Knitting Factory last night.
Joining him on the road has been 18-year-old singer/songwriter Trevor Dahl - aka Plug In Stereo - who just released his Triple Crown Records debut full-length Nothing To Something on 4/12/11. Alternative Press calls Trevor "a bona fide songwriter in the vein of Jason Mraz and John Mayer, with a ragamuffin edge," and he just finished performing at the Bamboozle Festival in NJ this past weekend.
