Yorkshire-based newcomers The Chevin will perform on CBS' The Late Show With David Letterman on August 29, 2012.
The band are performing their first US single, "Champion," which was released on May 28 in the UK via So Recordings.
"Champion" is the title track and one of four songs that will be included on the band's forthcoming Champion EP, which is coming out digitally on August 28. The EP will include the band's UK Singles "Drive" & "Blue Eyes."
The Champion EP precedes the release of the band's first full-length record Borderland, which will be released on September 25.
Borderland and Champion EP follow the band's successful Fierce Panda EP which gained the band plenty of exposure by being played by XFM London/Manchester, Radio 1 and Radio 2 as well as being featured on BBC1, ESPN, and over 75 football and rugby stadiums across the world. The band's style is befitting to stadium-rock levels of volume and energy. Artrocker nominated The Chevin as their Best New Artist of 2011 and London's Daily Star called them "Rock Saviors."

The band just finished playing a number of dates supporting Franz Ferdinand in Europe. The Chevin are no strangers to touring and playing in front of large audiences, having supported Franz Ferdinand, The Airborne Toxic Event, Pigeon Detectives, and White Lies (including Wembley Arena) all in the last year.
From panoramic vistas and peaks of stately Yorkshire ridges to drug-running ranches in the deserts of Texas, The Chevin are a band steeped in natural grandeur. They're a band who grew up relishing the magnificent swathes of moorland stretching from York to Leeds visible from atop the hill overlooking their home town of Otley - the geological marvel after which they're named - and instinctively destined to recreate the wonder of it in music while recording outside of El Paso, Texas.
The Chevin will release their debut album later this year on So Recordings through eOne Distribution, which follows last year's November EP release on Fierce Panda.
