Alternative rock icons Hoobastank have officially announced the release date for their highly anticipated full length album 'Fight Or Flight' will be September 11, 2012.

Fight Or Flight is a return to the hard-hitting emotional rock that captivated a generation. The band, energized by this album, have been hard at work creating all sorts of great content to make this release a special occurrence for their dedicated fanbase.

The first single off of Fight Or Flight, the 'Knock Down, Drag Out' anthem "This Is Gonna Hurt" is currently getting major support in the world of radio.

In just its third week of circulation, the track has already garnered an audience of more than 6 million. You can check out the official lyric video for the track below, and download it on iTunes.

The band is also currently offering their second single "No Destination" as a free download on their newly revamped website.

Where "This Is Gonna Hurt" shows Hoobastank's more aggressive side, the driving drums and delay-soaked guitars of "No Destination" show the band hasn't lost their ability to create a hauntingly epic track either.

With the video for "This Is Gonna Hurt", weekly tour webisodes and a headlining spot at Japan's Summer Sonic Festival on the horizon, Hoobastank is certainly keeping themselves busy in the final weeks before the album release.
