Singer/Musician Jenny May is the founder of Band Weblogs, created in January 2005, based in Oxford, England (originally from New England).

Jenny May is working with bands, artists and the top pr agencies and record labels in the US, Canada, UK, Europe and Australia, publishing press releases, features, reviews, mp3s and videos along with interviews, band and music blogs, guest music bloggers and more with free promotion and advertisement for bands.

Blog entries on Band Weblogs have appeared on websites such as Reuters, USA Today, Austin American Statesman, Virgin Radio and more. A great way to promote bands and music.

With a passion for music, Jenny May has performed with bands in the US and the UK, her music has appeared in films, she was a vocal coach for the Yamaha Rock School and she’s worked on music projects with musicians such as Jon Fishman (Phish) and Fyfe Dangerfield (Guillemots).

Jenny has been writing, recording and performing music with songwriter and musician Dave Tommo. They’ve used Apple’s GarageBand software to record music and podcasts and have demoed GarageBand for the Oxford Mac Group at Oxford University.

By reading musicians blogs, this is an easily accessible way for fans to get to know either their favorite musician through their own words or learning about a musician that they may never have heard of before logging onto Band Weblogs.

Musicians and music promoters can sign up as members for free in the Guest Music Bloggers area and contribute Guest Blogger entries by submitting band press, reviews, articles, music related stories, tour schedules, gig dates, links to mp3s, music videos, podcasts and more. Guest Music Blogging is another way for musicians to promote their music and websites through creative writing.

Band Weblogs now has a voice and has been ‘brought to life’ with it’s own podcast, Band Weblogs Podcast Show Starring Jenny May and Dave Tommo. Playing independent music, podsafe music, unsigned bands, music by their own bands (The Babylon Cowboys; The Tommos), and chat about music, sport talk, competitions and surprise guests. The Band Weblogs Podcast Show is aired on CBS owned KYOU Radio and 1550AM in San Francisco.
