Hard rock band Bullet For My Valentine returns with its third Jive album, Fever, on April 27, 2010.

The official first single, the blistering "Your Betrayal" impacts at radio on March 9th, with a video to follow shortly.

Fever pairs Bullet For My Valentine with producer Don Gilmore, best known for his work with Linkin Park and Good Charlotte.

The Welsh band vocalist/guitarist Matt Tuck, guitarist Michael Paget, bassist Jason James and drummer Michael Thomas recorded Fever in studios both in its native Wales and Los Angeles.

The album follows 2008's Scream Aim Fire, which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, a career high for the group, whom Kerrang! named Best British Band in both 2008 and 2009. Worldwide Scream Aim Fire has sold one million copies and debuted in the Top 5 in Germany, Austria, Australia and #1 in Japan and reached gold status in the UK and Canada. Their 2006 debut, The Poison, has sold a million copies worldwide and certified gold status in America, the UK, Canada and Germany. Since those releases BFMV have rocked audiences on the Taste of Chaos, Mayhem, and No Fear festivals.

Eager to get new music into their fans' hands as quickly as possible, BFMV is offering album track "Begging For Mercy" as a free download for a limited time at BulletForMyValentine.com.

The electrifying live band starts a headlining U.S. tour on April 30th. Stops for the festival veterans include New Jersey's Bamboozle Festival and Columbus, Ohio's Rock on the Range.

Upcoming international festival highlights include the Download Festival in the United Kingdom, Germany's massive Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, Sweden's Metal Town, Belgium's Graspop, Austria's Nova Rock and Italy's famed Gods Of Metal. The international release of Fever is April 26th.

The Blackout have announced that they have been forced to cancel their appearance with Bullet for My Valentine and Fightstar at Teenage Cancer Trust's first rock night at the Royal Albert Hall. A statement from the band said:

"The Blackout have unfortunately had to withdraw from Teenage Cancer Trust's show on Saturday 28th March. While in LA shooting the band's music video, bass player Rhys Lews became ill and was admitted to hospital. Rhys is currently still in LA, and his parents have flown out to be with him.

We are sorry to disappoint our fans, however I'm sure you all understand and we'll update you on Rhys situation as we get more information. Thanks - The Blackout."

In Case of Fire will replace The Blackout and perform at the charity's show next Saturday (28 March 2009).

The band, consisting of brothers Colin (drums), Steven Robinson (guitars, vocals) and Mark Williamson (bass), will join Bullet for My Valentine and Fightstar for the Kerrang supported event.

As well as completing their debut album 'Align The Planets' with producer Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters, Echo and the Bunnymen), the band spent last year touring with 30 Seconds to Mars and Queens of the Stone Age, playing shows with the likes of Kids in Glass Houses, Ash and Biffy Clyro, as well as performances at Download, Oxygen, T in the Park, Rock Am Park and Ring (Germany) and the Reading and Leeds festivals.

The band have also won an MTV2 'Spanking New' competition, beating the likes of Adele, Foals, Black Kids and Likke Li to the viewer's choice of bands to watch out for.

Tickets are still available for the night at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall.

Bullet for My Valentine's 2006 debut album 'The Poison' sold more than one million copies worldwide and the band is now flying high on the success of their second album 'Scream Aim Fire'. Last year they picked up the gong for best British band at the Kerrang! Awards.

Led by singer Charlie Simpson, Fightstar have just finished recording their third studio album. Last summer they opened the main stage at legendary rock festival Download, and headlined Guilfest, Summer Slam and Greenbelt Festival. They currently have their brand new single "Mercury Summer" blasting out across BBC's Radio 1.

Black Tide come out of the gate with all guns blazing. Their Interscope Records debut, 'Light from Above', is a loaded salvo of fret-burning, hyper-charged riffs. The Florida quartet churns out fist-pumping, fast-paced metallic anthems with no remorse. Their sound channels the forefathers of heavy metal, but with a dose of 21st century attitude.

Black Tide on amazon.co.uk

Black Tide on amazon.com

Cuts like "Shockwave," "Warriors of Time" and "Show Me The Way" pack enough explosive energy to ignite any crowd.

Vocalist and guitarist Gabriel started singing and playing guitar at eight-years-old, and he knew that's what he was meant to do the second he donned an axe. "When I started playing, I was like, 'This is what I have to do.' I don't want to be a f***ing lawyer or some shit like that. I told my family I wanted to play heavy metal. My parents have supported my decision the whole time. Anyone else would've been like, 'Shut up! Go to school!'"

Gabriel's intense immersion into music has paid off. He formed Black Tide along with bassist Zakk Sandler and original guitarist Alex Nunez in 2003. Drummer Steven Spence would join their ranks in 2006, and after an incendiary performance at that year's Florida Music Festival, Interscope signed the band.

Black Tide recorded their debut, 'Light from Above', at Groovemaster Studios, with Johnny K (Disturbed, Machine Head, Soil) in 2007. As soon as it was finished, the four lads hit the road on OZZfest 2007's main stage alongside Ozzy Osbourne, Lamb of God and Static-X. Immediately, they began to build a buzz because of their no-holds barred approach to infectious, arena-ready heavy metal.

Zakk sums up the band's sound perfectly. "Black Tide sounds like four pissed off teenagers who listen to too much good music. When we come together, we make something special. We love Iron Maiden, Pantera, Metallica and Guns 'N' Roses, but we don't try to be anything we're not. We just get up on stage and do what we love."

Leading up to the 'Light from Above' March 18, 2008 release, the band toured with the likes of Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine and All that Remains. Garnering instant acclaim, 'Light From Above' sent a "shockwave" of its own through the scene.

Rolling Stone named Black Tide one of the "Best Rookies of 2008" and "Metal's New Teen Titans". Spin tapped them as one of the "Next Big Things," while Revolver featured them as a "Band To Watch" and included them on the cover of the August 2008 Mayhem issue, and Kerrang! proclaimed them "Best International Newcomer."

The band followed its release with an appearance on the inaugural Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival alongside Slipknot and Disturbed as well as playing the main stage of Download 2008.

After Download, Alex and the band amicably parted ways. Black Tide added guitarist Austin Diaz to the fold, and he's been the perfect fret foil for Gabriel. "Austin is awesome. He learned all of our songs in two days, before the first date of Mayhem. We played the show, and he killed it," Gabriel says.

In the end, Black Tide are ready for anything. Gabriel's excited for what the future holds. "The band is so united now. We've never been together like this before. Black Tide's stronger than ever." That strength will only lead to bigger and better things. Zakk concludes, "The kids want more, and I want more out of us everyday. We're like that arena rock band who just hasn't made it to the arenas, yet." It's only a matter of time until they do.

'Shockwave' will be released on Interscope through Polydor in February 2009; 'Light From Above' is out now.
