Seattle indie disco affiliates United State of Electronica (U.S.E) are set to release their new single “Open Your Eyes” on Concept Music in the UK on October 15th 2007.

With a generosity of performance the Scissor Sisters would die for, U.S.E have ignited dance-floors worldwide with their explosive live shows and having played alongside Junior Senior, Ted Leo and Death Cab For Cutie, the septet pixie party are fast becoming renowned for their legendary gigs. All those who enter will find sweat pouring, hearts overflowing and huge, fluffy sesame-street-style letters spelling U.S.E flying overhead.

United State of Electronica’s debut single “Open Your Eyes” bursts with a contagious energy reminiscent of the electro rock of the Killers, filling up quickly with the fizzy effervescence and fullness of The Go! Team and charges like the tribal pull of a stadium mantra. It’s pure pop celebration the way it was always meant to be, with blissful melodies, electrifying guitar and Daft Punk beats that demand your presence on the dancefloor.

Is there a new trend happening? It seems electro has been creeping it’s way into the airwaves at a higher rate than normal recently and I’m beginning to have a new outlook on electro music.

See if you can get your head around this: The Ghost Frequency have mixed electro with cool synths and bass sounds, clever changes, they’ve added an indie like feel at times with punk, rock and dance beats in such a way, that they’ve certainly peaked my ears and have caught my attention. It’s always great to come across a band that’s difficult to describe.

The Ghost Frequency’s latest single, “Nightmare” is set for release 13th August 2007 on Buddhist Punk/City Rockers. “Nightmare” will be available on 7″ vinyl and digital formats.
