Let It Be Me on amazon.co.uk

Ask Jason is a brilliant initiative by Universal Music TV, designed by Minimart, enabling the public to command or ask Jason Donovan anything they like. The multimillion-selling man himself, jumps, dances, plays guitar and even gives spontaneous renditions of his previous work – ask him anything, just don’t ask him anything rude, he’ll reprimand you!

By visiting www.umtv.co.uk/askjason players not only get to interrogate Jason Donovan and sample ‘Let It be Me’, but are also given the chance to win a VIP experience to see Jason play live in the UK and to meet him backstage at one of his shows.

Released on 10 November 2008, ‘Let It Be Me’ is Jason Donovan’s brilliant return to form with an album inspired by the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. Co-produced by Paul Neehan and Brian Rawling, the latter having worked with Cher, Tina Turner and Enrique Iglesias, the collection is Jason’s most accomplished and mature album yet. Featuring both brand new tracks and cover versions, ‘Let It Be Me’ was recorded entirely live to achieve an authentic sound and seamlessly merge new compositions with Jason’s interpretations of classics from the late 50’s and early 60’s.

The album of pop classics – “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes”, “Love Letters” and “Rhythm of The Rain” to name just a few of the 17 tracks – also features two songs that Jason has co-written, “Dreamboats And Petticoats” featuring the unique sound of Hank Marvin on guitar and “All The Words We Don’t Say”.

Jason Donovan will return to the UK West End stage in March 2009 in the lead role of the stage production of cult movie ‘Priscilla, Queen Of the Desert’. Jason Donovan’s past stage appearances have included Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, as Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and as Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. First coming to the public’s attention in Neighbours in the mid 80’s, Jason Donovan returned to the UK’s screen in I’m A Celebrity get Me Out Of Here and most recently alongside Martine McCutcheon in Echo Beach.

‘Let It Be Me’ is released on 10 November 2008.

27 year old Hannah, is the most successful singer songwriter in Estonia today. Hailing from Tallinn, Estonia’s capital, Hannah has been performing from a tender age. The impulse to express herself with music, to reach other, has driven Hannah since she was three years old.

“My own experiences have affected me the most; it doesn’t matter where you live, if you have something in your heart that needs expressing then in time it will come to the surface …” With passion in her heart and an imagination set alight by the world before her, Hannah is poised to sing her way into the future.

Born on 12th May, 1981, Hannah has become Estonia’s first major female solo artist. Her many accolades include receiving the Track Of The Year at the 2001 Estonian Musical Awards, and Best Female Artist in 2003 and 2005 along with Best Album Of The Year in the same year.

Proud of her roots she is honoured to also be an official representative for the Estonian Tourist board, (Tallinn set for European City Of Culture status in 2011).

‘Everything Is Changing’, is Hannah’s international debut and her first album written entirely in English. It is the sixth album to be released in her homeland and marks a gentle shift in her lyrical perspective. Produced by James McMillan, and mixed by the Grammy Award Winner Brad Gilderman, it combines tales of love alongside thoughts on the wider world, and everyone’s place within it.

Hannah recently showcased songs from her album ‘Everything Is Changing’ for BBC RADIO 2’s ‘Friday Night is Music Night’ and is now set to support Jason Donovan on tour.

“I love performing live and sometimes in smaller concerts can be even more rewarding as you can get closer to the audience and can feel their emotions which is satisfying”.

An accomplished pianist herself, she is supported by guitar, drums and strings in her live shows and is indeed destined to touch countless people as she tours later on this year.

Jason Donovan has announced that he’s recorded his first new album for 15 years and will release the first single “Dreamboats & Petticoats” on 3 November, 2008 on Decca.

Having sold a staggering 13 Million albums worldwide, Jason Donovan, who celebrated his 40th Birthday this year, has returned after a 15-year break from music with a brand new album inspired by the music of the late 50’s and early 60’s.

The single “Dreamboats & Petticoats” is taken from the forthcoming album ‘Let It be Me’ released on 10th November, 2008.

Let It Be Me on amazon.co.uk

For his first recordings in 15 years, Jason has drawn on the iconic imagery and sounds of the late fifties and early sixties to create an album full of romantic memories and replicated feelings.

Written by Jason Donovan and Henry Priestman (The Christians) and produced by Brian Rawlings (Lemar / Cher), “Dreamboats & Petticoats” is an upbeat, sunny rock and roller, that strives for an authentic sound. To obtain the bona fide feel to the track, it was recorded entirely live with guitars provided by the legendary Hank Marvin.

It was a period that that first made him a musical icon in the late 1980’s, and as well as reworking firm favourites like “Sealed With A Kiss” (originally number 1 in June 1989) and “Rhythm Of The Rain” (hit number 9 in September 1990), the album is set to feature new interpretations of classics such as “Blue Velvet”, “Love Hurts” and “Smoke Gets In My Eyes”.

“Dreamboats & Petticoats” is a brand new song written for the album and recorded in the style and influenced by the nostalgia of the period.

In keeping with the mood of the album, Jason Donovan will be touring the UK during November and December 2008, with his Pictures & Postcards tour of British seaside towns.
