The Levellers have just returned from a 10 date tour of Europe and in fine musical fetter are announcing a further 10 UK dates.

Before the festival season is upon us get into the spirit and see the Brighton Folk-punk legends raise the roof!

Accompanying the band on the tour are Pama International who bring their unique blend of 60’s Soul, 70’s Reggae and 21st Century Commentary and also joined by the Godfathers of ‘Skunk Skiffle – Punk’ Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs. This will be an amazing triple bill with true festival vibes, one not to be missed!

The Levellers have seen a renaissance in recent years of both album sales and on the live circuit. In 2008 they sold out their own festival Beautiful Days for the sixth year in a row the band performed a memorable and rousing headline show at The Royal Albert Hall which went from moments of great intimacy in the first acoustic half to an electric roof raising showdown which mixed new material with the bands’ classic favourites.

To celebrate the April and May live dates all three bands from the bill will be releasing some very special free download tracks in the form of:

1 live Levellers track recorded exclusively from 2008’s Royal Albert Hall gig and 1 track from Pama International downloadable from www.lettersfromtheunderground.com on the 30th March 2009.

1 further exclusive live track from the Levellers Albert hall performance and 1 track from Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs will also be available for download from www.lettersfromtheunderground.com on the 13th April 2009.

Folk-punk legends The Levellers are headlining the Glastonbury Festival’s Left Field Anti-Slavery night on the Thursday, making them the first headline band to play the festival in 2008.

The Levellers are one of the festival’s most valued artists, having headlined the Pyramid Stage twice. They also hold the records for the biggest Glastonbury Festival stage-front audience for both the Pyramid Stage in 1994 and the JazzWorld stage in 2005. The Levellers are fully funding their own performance and will receive no fee or expenses for their appearance in order to help Left Field raise maximum awareness of the crucial issue of Anti-Slavery around the world.

Beautiful Days is the Levellers‘ festival set in the heart of Devon, now approaching its sixth year. The festival has five music stages, a huge children’s area, amazing site art, local real-ale bars, food and craft stalls, family camping, comedy and walkabout theatre. With an intimate atmosphere and a feel-good vibe, Beautiful Days has fast become one of the most popular festivals in the UK. Virtual Festivals recently put Beautiful Days at No. 6 in their Top Ten Boutique Festivals for 2008.

The festival takes place 15, 16, 17 August 2008 at Escot Park, Ottery St Mary (Nr Fairmile) Devon.

Winner of Best Grass Roots Festival at the UK Festival Awards in 2006, Beautiful Days has no corporate sponsorship, no mainstream media partners and does not advertise. The festival has, however, sold out in advance for the last few years and tickets for this year look set to do the same.

Other acts for 2008 include Squeeze, Supergrass, Flogging Molly, Ross Noble, Gabriella Cilmi, Idlewild, Alabama 3, Nouvelle Vague, Stiff Little Fingers, Seth Lakeman, Turin Brakes, Cage The Elephant, Fishbone, Eat Static, John Cooper Clarke, Zion Train and loads more!

Weekend Camping Tickets £90 / discounted children’s tickets available

The Levellers also play the following 2008 live dates:
