Last year The Cribs took to the studio with Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos at the production helm to record their follow-up album (‘Men’s Needs, Woman’s Needs, Whatever’ out May 21, 2007), the first fruits of which will be their new single “Men’s Needs” (out May 14th) which sees the band take their choppy, angular guitar and hook-laden sounds to the next level.

Good Charlotte’s success travelled overseas with world tours and festival appearances taking the band to new audiences all around the globe. Their third album ‘The Chronicles Of Life And Death’ saw the band move into a more synth-heavy sound, with piano-ballads and introspective acoustic songs showing the strains of their newfound fame on tattooed frontmen and brothers Benjii and Joel Madden.

Fast forward two years and the band are back with their fourth album ‘Good Morning Revival’. Laden with addictive riffs and power punk-pop chorus’, ‘Good Morning Revival’ shows a maturity in the songs with lyrics exploring darker subjects with singles “Keep Your Hands Off My Girl” and “The River” paving the way for the band to take their success to a whole new level.

Having reunited at the end of 2004 after The Beta Band called it a day, The Aliens put out their debut EP, ‘Alienoid Starmonica’ in May last year before heading to the studio to record their first full-length album. The resultant, ‘Astronomy For Dogs’ was released earlier this year to massive critical acclaim and looks certain to land the band a top slot in the 2007 album of the year lists.

The band’s fantastic new single “Robot Man” is released on June 25th following up last two singles “The Happy Song” and “Setting Sun” and with a summer of festival dates lined-up it looks like The Aliens are here to stay.
