Justin Bieber, the soulful and precocious 15-year-old worldwide sensation whose first two single releases are currently both in the iTunes Top 20 full-song download chart, performed three songs live on the open-air Rockefeller Plaza stage of NBC’s Today Show this morning.

In Bieber’s three-song set list: the tough-and-tender, gold-certified “One Time;” the newly-released breezy singalong “One Less Lonely Girl,” which rocketed to No. 2 on the iTunes song download chart, selling over 32,000 copies in one day; and “Favorite Girl,” one more track featured on the upcoming Island Records debut MY WORLD.

The Today Show appearance brings Ontario-born Justin Bieber back to the scene of a fan-fueled mob happening just four weeks ago, when a planned intimate acoustic performance for 300 in the Rockefeller Center Nintendo store was overrun with 2,000 feverish followers.

In the holiday weekend run-up to the Monday morning appearance, fan frenzy has also been fanned by the posting of cover art for MY WORLD, scheduled for November 17, 2009 release, on Ryan Seacrest’s website.

The new “One Less Lonely Girl” video clip will be available for sale exclusively on iTunes today, October 12th. “One Time” is currently the No. 3 iTunes Top Video download, and has already been No. 1 on iTunes Canada.

MY WORLD, Justin’s debut on Island Records, features the writing and production of hit makers The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, and Midi-Mafia, plus a guest appearance by Usher on “First Dance.”

Justin Bieber has emerged as a global new media star getting bigger by the day, with 70 million YouTube.com video views (the first 10 million of them as an amateur, posting his own renditions of favorite Usher, Ne-Yo and Stevie Wonder songs) and nearly 14 million song streams of “One Time” on MySpace.com.

Born in Stratford, Ontario, Justin Bieber is a multi-talented pop/soul singer, as well as a self-taught musician on drums, guitar, piano, and trumpet.

Four hit singles, with over 9 million sold

What wakes up in Vegas…couldn’t possibly remain a secret, if it has anything to do with KATY PERRY, the Capitol Records multi-platinum singer-songwriter who has completely captured the fun, the rhythm, the smarts, the look and the sound of our times in her smash debut album ONE OF THE BOYS.

WAKING UP IN VEGAS, the fourth hit single from the album, is this week’s No. 1 most-played record on the mainstream top 40 pop radio stations across the country, an extraordinary feat of late-game staying power for Perry, whose story began, amazingly, a full fourteen months ago with the official release of Katy’s first worldwide No. 1 hit, “I Kissed a Girl.”

“Waking Up In Vegas” was co-written by Perry with veteran hitmakers Andreas Carlsson and Desmond Child. The track was produced by Greg Wells. Grammy and MTV Video Music Award winner Joseph Kahn directed the video clip, filmed in a two-day Las Vegas shoot co-starring Joel David Moore (Bones, House, Avatar, Grandma’s Boy).

Katy’s first two single releases, the seven-week Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “I Kissed a Girl” and the No. 1 mainstream top 40 radio hit “Hot N Cold,” are RIAA-certified for triple-platinum sales.

‘One Of The Boys’ also includes the #1 VH1 Countdown ballad hit “Thinking of You” and the pre-album online video blockbuster of late 2007, “Ur So Gay.”

Katy Perry, dubbed “internet darling” by the Associated Press after her breakout performances at SXSW in March, will perform on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour Hurley Stage for its entire coast-to-coast run, from June 20th to August 17th, 2008.

The 23-year-old songstress will join the traveling rock circus three days after her debut album, ‘One of the Boys’, is released by Capitol Records on June 17th, 2008.

Katy was one of five performers chosen by Warped Tour to play the official pre-party press conference in Los Angeles in April. “Warped is going to be grueling and hot, but I’m ready to survive it – even without showers,” Katy says. “Gwen Stefani did the tour back in 2000 with No Doubt and she looked fabulous hopping around on stage in her little polka-dotted dresses. I’m so channeling that.”

‘One of the Boys’ – a witty, pop-rock gem that showcases Katy’s sharp, candid lyrics, big voice, and feisty, girl-power swagger, as well as her appealing vulnerability, is the full-length follow-up to her debut digital EP, “Ur So Gay” (available on iTunes since last November), which has already earned the Santa Barbara, CA native a legion of devoted fans.

Those fans include the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna, who recently gave Katy shout-outs on two morning radio shows calling “Ur So Gay” her “favorite song.” She first spoke about it on the Phoenix, AZ KZZP-KRQQ John Jay and Rich Show where she prompted them to “check it out on iTunes.” Then on LA’s KIIS-FM, Madonna called the song “hilarious” and told Ryan Seacrest he “had to hear it”.

Katy performed “Ur So Gay”, a kiss-off to an ex-boyfriend that Billboard has called “zeitgeist-capturing”, on Last Call with Carson Daly on April 8th. The clever low dough video for the song had one million views within a week of appearing on MySpace.

Other tracks from ‘One of the Boys‘ have been gaining attention as well. The first single, “I Kissed A Girl,” has been put in power rotation at New York’s influential Z100. The reaction from listeners was so strong that the single was made available for purchase on iTunes on April 29th, a week before its intended release and ranked #24 on the Pop Singles chart within its first week.

Various other Katy Perry tracks have been heard several times on MTV’s superhot series The Hills, and “Fingerprints” can be heard in the hit comedy film Baby Mama starring Tina Fey.

Katy has also been tapped for Yahoo!’s ‘Who’s Next Critical Eye’, MSN’s ‘Ones to Watch’, AOL’s ‘About to Pop’ and Clear Channel’s ‘NEW! Featured Artist’ for June 2008.

She just wrapped her video for “I Kissed A Girl”, shot by Kinga Burza (Kate Nash, The Thrills), and it will premiere on MySpace on May 21st, less than one month from her album release and before hitting the road all summer.
