Combining the savvy of an industry veteran, the voice of an acclaimed diva, a dynamic personality and looks to die for… meet Singer/Songwriter, Kim Kline. Originally training with Ron Anderson, best known for his work with the Rolling Stones, No Doubt and Janet Jackson, Kim began developing the powerful voice she is known for today. Always looking to hone her talents, Kim now works with renowned vocal technique and performance coach Steven Memel who has trained such artists as Adam Levine and members of Maroon 5, Taryn Manning of Boomkat, Brittany Murphy and Big City Rock.

Fine tuning her music and voice, Kim began to accumulate an abundance of songs she wrote over the summer of 2004. These songs sparked the interest of acclaimed music entertainment law firm “Davis, Shapiro, Lewit, Montone and Hayes” (Linkin Park, Usher, and The Bravery.) The same day she met with Steve Shapiro, she was signed immediately.

Listen to Kim Kline’s song ‘Inside’!

Currently living in Los Angeles, the Texas native continues to nurture her singer/songwriter giftedness full time – creating music with the energetic spirit that has always defined her. Kim’s impeccable sense of style shines through as she performs at premiere music venues around town.

After multiple successful gigs at the renowned Viper Room, The Troubadour, the 2004 LA Marathon stage, among others, Kim Kline clearly demonstrates what she was put here to do. Look for Kim Kline to re-introduce the music industry to the roots of rock with a sexy, young, hip appeal that generates a genre all on its own.

Over the past months, Kim has been writing and recording with a variety of award winning and multi-platinum selling songwriters and producers, including Ian Cross (Janet Jackson, Usher, Gwen Stefani, etc.).

Kim has also played a handful of shows throughout the past few months to sold-out crowds across Los Angeles. We were fortunate enough to have Kludge Magazine review of one of her last shows on October 22nd, 2005 at the Viper Room. (Seen Below)

“It is always refreshing to see such an amazingly powerful female presence in Hollywood’s world-famous Sunset Strip as Kim Kline. Performing in front of a sold-out crowd Kline commanded the full attention of the audience from the first note until the very last. Her bluesy-rock vocals floated seamlessly upon her powerhouse backing band’s blasting beats. For those in the audience that were familiar with her catchy pop-rock material, such instant classics as “Inside*” and “Misunderstood” had them dancing and singing along all the while.

Kim Kline’s music is technically tight and radio friendly, with lyrics that relate to personal life experiences, even pulling on this reviewer’s own heart-strings.”

San Bernardino, CA August 28, 2006 – Jonathan Davis, front man for the hard rock metal band KoRn met up with Tagworld.com to talk about his record label and the future plans for the band. KoRn, known for their heavy bass and hard vocals was formed in 1993 in Bakersfield, CA. When band members “Munky” Shaffer and Brian “Head” Welch found Davis he was working as a coroner’s assistant and playing for the band Sexart. After a little convincing he left Bakersfield as well Sexart and they formed what is now one of the most well known bands in the country, KoRn.

Patty- Tell us about your record label?

Jonathan- I have my record label which is Elementree Records. It’s basically an imprint now and I’m looking for a band that I really believe in and I can get behind. I hooked up with, and have always been a huge Deadsy fan and I’ve always taken them when they’ve been on different labels. I got them signed through Immortal, which is the label that signed us when we first started out with “Happy”. I love the band Deadsy, and I love giving artists a chance to get their stuff out there if they’re doing something original and is true to them. They’re one of those bands that when you hear a Deadsy song you know it’s a Deadsy song. I’m really excited about that. I’m just a music freak. I love making music and listening to music. It’s given me a chance to put out things that I like.

Patty – What’s the future for Korn after “Family Values”?

Jonathan- After “Family Values” I think we’re going to be going back into the studio and making another record. So, we’re planning on getting another one out there and then touring in Europe starting next year, and then we will be touring again for another year.

Patty – What about the sound on the new record. Is it going to be something new?

Jonathan- Yeah, it’s going to be something different. We try to change up each album. We’re not tying to do “See you on the Other Side” part two. We’re going to work with the same producers and maybe some new ones. We’re trying to do something different this time around. We’re really excited. I can’t wait to get back into the studio because I love to do this.

Patty – How has the internet played a part in your success?

Jonathan- The internet has always played a big part in our success. We really embraced it early on. We started back in the early 90’s. We were one of the first bands to do a live internet broadcast. We did a live TV show. It was called “Korn Mingling the Web”. It landed us in Time Magazine. We’ve always pioneered new technology. It’s hard to keep up with everything coming out, but we pretty much kept up and taken advantage of that. There are different sites people can go to and experience different music. It’s just amazing because there’s this huge network and everybody can get to it. Everyone has a chance to get into music, or get into movies if that’s what they’re interested in.

Patty – Do you spend a lot of time on the Net? Does it drive your life?

Jonathan- I don’t think it drives my life, but I’m on all the time surfing and stuff, and playing online games.

Patty – What’s your favorite online game?

Jonathan- Definitely World of Warcraft.

Patty – There are so many unsigned bands trying to make it. Do you have any advice for them?

Jonathan- Just keep playing and believe in yourself. If you’ve got something really special then go for it, it can happen. That’s what we did. We were just some guys from Bakersfield. No one knew who we were. We worked really really hard and it paid off for us.

Patty- How has Warped Tour gone so far?

Brandon- It’s been great, it’s been big crowds, we’ve had great sets, it’s been a long hot month but we are halfway done.

Patty- What do you guys do when you aren’t performing?

Brandon- We’ve got a bunch of our friends out here; Bouncing Souls, No Effects, Against me. At night we have a BBQ, hang out with our friends and try to relax.

Patty- Have you guys been writing music lately?

Brandon-We have a new record, it came out July 4th, “The Sufferer and The Witness.” It’s our fourth record and we are really proud of it. The first single is “Ready to Fall”.

Tim-A lot of that song is about being on the road and being in a band and the sacrifices you make to do what you love to do.

Patty- What are your plans for the band?

Tim-We are going to finish Warped Tour and then tour all year.

Patty- What do you do when you aren’t touring?

Brandon- I try to relax and spend time with my family. We’re not home much so most of our time home we go off on our own paths and try to relax.
