Ocean Colour Scene guitarist Steve Cradock will be releasing his debut single “Running Away” on February 16, 2009, taken from his debut solo album ‘The Kundalini Target’ (out Feb 9th).

The “Running Away” video was filmed at The Prince of Wales in Camden with his good friend Mani playing bass and The Enemy in the audience.

As the founding member of Ocean Colour Scene he has penned some of the 90’s definitive hits such as “The Riverboat Song”, “The Day We Caught The Train” and “Hundred Mile High City” which have become engrained into British Culture as the theme tune to the Chris Evans fronted TFI Friday and signature song in Guy Ritches ‘Lock Sock & Two Smoking Barrels’.

With his debut solo album, Steve has grafted 10 beautiful laments about love, life, loss and the union of marriage. Tracks such as “Running Away”, “Beware of Falling rocks” and “Ask the sound” showcase what a talent he is, exposing the vulnerability and innocence of young love.

The album features Paul Weller on vocals on a couple of the tracks and 12 string guitar on “Paint Your Picture”.

The Big Reunion Festival 2008 announces more acts including The Enemy and Reverend and the Makers to headline this year’s Rogue Stage.

The Big Reunion Festival which takes place over two weekends at Skegness Butlins November 21st-23rd and 28th-30th has confirmed new acts set to headline its Rogue Stage.

The Enemy and Reverend and the Makers will be headlining their own nights with support from The Holloways and Your Friends Are Architects and DJ sets from Peter Hook (New Order) and Alex Zane.

These acts will all join the host of dance acts already set to appear at what has become a winter festival success story with the festival selling out for the last 5 years consecutively.

‘XFM Debut Sessions’ is a 2CD collection direct from XFM’s archives of session recordings and live performances, including Jack Penate, Jamie T, Kate Nash, Bloc Party and many others.

Focusing on debut albums, this album features some of the hottest UK acts to release their first longplayers in 2007, alongside classic British artists of the last 10 years. Each of the 36 tracks will be a version of a cut from the artist’s debut album recorded exclusively for XFM. These recordings have never been available before and is a must have album for fans of cutting edge new artists and of some of the biggest acts to come out of the UK in the last decade.

The album coincides with the inaugural XFM New Music Awards, which rivals the Mercury Awards for championing great British music.

“Since XFM first hit the airwaves in 1997, we have lived and breathed new music – breaking bands, putting on gigs, recording some amazing sessions and being at the heart of the alternative music scene.
