Following on from the success of 2007's re-issues of their first three albums, Universal Music Catalogue are pleased to announce the re-issue of the final two of the band's Phonogram albums 'Carved In Sand' and 'Masque'.

Released in 1990, 'Carved In Sand' was The Mission's third 'proper' album and is home to Top 30 hits "Deliverence", "Hands Across The Ocean" and "Butterfly On A Wheel". It was a huge success and went on to become their biggest selling album.

The album was so popular that later that year the companion album 'Grains Of Sand' was released. It gathered together the rest of the material from the album sessions.

These two albums have been remastered and packaged together in one 2CD set.

The set includes 11 previously unreleased tracks from the sessions and b-sides. It also has a 16 page booklet containing brand new sleevenotes by Wayne Hussey.

The band headed out on their final ever tour which culminated in four night's at Shepherd's Bush Empire, where 'Carved In Sand' was set to be performed in its entirety on the last night and was to be The Mission's last ever gig.

Released in 1992, 'Masque' was The Mission's farewell album to Phonogram. It was something of a new and experimental album for the band, using instrumentation that they'd never previously used and working in completely new and exciting ways. This was an album written and recorded in a spirit of adventure in direct contrast to its predecessor, and yielded three hit singles, "Never Again", "Like A Child Again" and "Shades Of Green".

The album includes four bonus tracks and comes with 12 page booklet containing brand new sleevenotes by Wayne Hussey.
