The Old Blue Last, Shoreditch, was infiltrated by the undead and transformed into The Severed Arms Pub by Left 4 Dead 2, for one weekend only.

Zombiefied Hollyoaks barmaid, Jennifer Metcalfe joined the congregated 'Zombands' including The Priscillas, Disco Bloodbath, The Vinyl Stitches and Ben UFO to celebrate the launch of the highly anticipated game.

At London's hottest undead music venue guests also got the chance to hone their post apocalyptic survival skills, testing their ability to endure a L4D2 outbreak. Guests drank green slime cocktails and mingled with the infected until dawn.

L4D2 is available in the UK on PC and Xbox 360 console.

Thursday 5th February, 2009 launches the explosive second album of rock vixens and cosmic boogie babes, the magnificent Priscillas! With rock solid support by Camden's power punks The Vinyl Stitches, this promises to be a sensational show, bringing together a glorious collision of genres, from New York to Holloway Road!

The Mighty Boosh, Jay Kay, Shane McGowan, Franz Ferdinand, The Cramps, The Damned, Sky Saxon and designer Anna Sui may not often agree on things, but they have all declared their love for cult favourites The Priscillas and their unique brand of milkshake punk. Their second album '10,000 Volts' is out on Nag's Head Records on 2nd February, and is sure to make your ears pop.

Their first album was a retro slice of bubblegum pop, a John Waters-style Rocky Horror Show for the ears. It spawned two sell-out singles which made their mark on Radio One, BBC 6Music and XFM; Topshop voted a Priscillas video in their top 40 of the year; and in the US they guested on the radio show of Little Steven of Springsteen's E-Street Band and The Sopranos, plus sessioning for WFMU in New York. The cult was growing ...

With the new album, the band move on, embracing a wide range of different influences. While respecting their 'leader of the pack' ethics, powerpop, disco, 70s New York, indie-pop and mariachi all collide to make a unique genre mix of blazingly catchy pastiche and vibrancy. Singing about "Jimmy in a Dress" or "gonna rip up your photograph", these ladies know how girl/boy really works. The album has been given the once-over by producers Andy Chatterley (Kanye West, Pussycat Dolls, Kylie, The Kills) and Marc Waterman (Ash, Elastica) in the girls' mission to successfully channel those influences into their own unique sound.

Strong women know what they want, and this time round, the girls are joined by of all things ... a boy. Phil Martini, ex-Tokyo Dragons drummer, is a brave sticksman to deal with this cacophony of super heroines, catwomen, go-go dancers and superstars. Frontwoman Jenny Drag, a New Jersey feline of a chanteuse, prowls the stage like a panther, clad in a catsuit that would give Pussy Galore palpitations. And a strong diva needs a strong team to back her up. Norwegian guitar goddess Guri Go-Go may look like a B-movie kitten, but her mega-tight guitarwork suggests otherwise. Native Brit, Kate Kannibal's twist on melodic basslines kick as hard as her legs do on stage. Lucky Phil!

Aside from their deliciously playful charisma, the tunes carry cosmic boogie with unmitigated raunch to create a stunning live show. Stripping sensations from Blondie, Abba and Queen, the ensemble triumph on stage in taut, razor-sharp, rocking shows that have thrilled at Glastonbury, Leeds Carling Weekend, Bestival and Lost Vagueness.
