NBC/The Office's Creed Bratton to release new CD 'Bounce Back' March 23rd.

Singer-songwriter and actor-comic Creed Bratton, currently best-known for the quirky former 60's rock-star character he portrays on the NBC TV hit comedy series The Office, is scheduled to release Bounce Back, his first CD of new material in two years.

Buy Music:

Creed Bratton on amazon.com

Assisted by his backing band, The 3DVB's and his Office co-star Ed Helms, Bratton returns yet again to his passion as a serious and accomplished musician.

"Bounce Back is more than just the title of my new CD," says the star. "It's what happened with my life and career."

A founding member of the seminal 60s rock band The Grass Roots, Bratton recorded and toured extensively behind the back-to-back monster hit singles, "Let's Live for Today" and "Midnight Confession," which became early 60s youth anthems. Several original members of the band reunited in 2000 for the 35th Anniversary of the historic rock venue The Whiskey A Go Go, where bands such as The Byrds, The Turtles, among others have played.

"This CD has been in my brain for 20 years.... I was talking to James Cameron and we both agreed that we had to wait for technology to catch up to our visions," says Bratton.

Produced by Dave Way, Bounce Back, a collection of guitar-driven pop and melodic tunes, includes the catchy lead single and video "Rubber Tree," featuring Ed Helms, as well as the dreamy Chet Baker cover "Let's Get Lost" featuring the smoky-voiced Canadian newcomer Tara Holloway. Other than "Lost" and a co-writer credit for the hilariously cryptic "My Heart's an Open Book," Bratton penned the entire album.

Bratton's Dunder Mifflin co-workers got a preview of the actor's guitar chops in a previous episode of The Office when Bratton rescued a not-quite-up-to-the-task boss Michael Scott from band jam embarrassment.

When asked what people could expect from his new release he replied, "Listening to Bounce Back will result in a paradigm shift in consciousness... you will never hear music or view life the same way again......and I'm down playing this a bit."

A series of dates have been scheduled. More to be confirmed soon:

March 19th: Cissi's Market and Wine Bar in Austin, TX
March 20th: Hideout Theatre in Austin, TX
May 8th: Hotel Café in Los Angeles, CA

Throughout the album, there is a wonderful mix of personal experience, passion and political sentiment.

It's Butler’s personal touch that really stands out, and fans can also experience his personable and accessible nature in the way of videos he's been rolling out on the official John Butler Trio website and YouTube Channel.

John Butler Trio's "The Making of April Uprising" is far from your typical video about the making a record. The short film was shot in and around John Butler's studio in Australia, and really highlights the Trio's animated personalities; and more than anything, it makes you want to go Down Under to hang out with them.

Butler has also been taking time out of his busy schedule, which steadily has him touring all corners of the world, to provide video tutorials on his guitar technique. In the 'One Way Road' Tutorial, currently posted on his blog, Butler talks about the spirit of the song and all of the styles that go into it.

Watch One Way Road - Guitar Tutorial - How To Play video:

Captured backstage at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, CO, the video simply features Butler and his Squareneck National six-string guitar. Despite clocking in just under ten minutes, it's easy to follow him through all of the chord progressions, as his charming nature and serious talent really grab your attention.

Also newly released on the John Butler Trio YouTube Channel is the "Close To You" Official Film Clip, which likewise delivers the artist and his bandmates up close and personal, and lives up to the truly fantastic music video for the first single "One Way Road."

Watch Close To You video:

April Uprising, the multi-platinum artist's most focused, diverse and accessible album to date, has already yielded a No. 1 song on the Australian airplay charts with its first single, "One-Way Road."

Recorded at The Compound, Butler's self-built studio in the heart of his hometown of Fremantle, Western Australia, and mixed in Melbourne, Australia at Sing Sing Studios, April Uprising follows 2007's critically acclaimed and globally successful release, Grand National.

The John Butler Trio North American tour kicks off on May 20, 2010 at the House of Blues in San Diego, culminating on the East Coast in late June.

Butler will be joined by his new bandmates: Melbourne musician Nicky Bomba (drums and percussion) and Byron Luiters (bass) from Sydney outfit Ray Mann Three.

Recorded for £6 on a Sony cassette dictaphone as a demo for his soon-to-be music publishers (MuteSong), Emit Bloch's 'Dictaphones Vol. 1' is truly a credit-crunch album.

Buy Music:

Emit Bloch on amazon.co.uk

Emit Bloch on amazon.com

Fueled by Bloch's rapid-fire lyricism, unique guitar styling and cosmic/comic imagery, the 16 songs collected here are a tour through a wild west of eloquent grifters, talking rivers, bleeding clouds, interplanetary frontiersmen and neighborly psychopaths.

Born on a cattle ranch in Utah and transplanted by his professor father to Berkeley, CA - ground zero for all things beatnik - Bloch has a rich history to draw on when creating his distinct American music.

"I'd demoed these new songs at my kitchen table in London. They got me a publishing deal and some money to record with. As usual, the raw demos sounded better than the studio recordings, but quite unusual everyone agreed to put them out instead," says Bloch.

Helpful was the fact that when an early edition of the dictaphone recordings was issued to iTunes through Bloch's imprint, iDot (via One Little Indian), the recordings were chosen by iTunes editors as a front page pick.

With cattlemen, turn-of-the-century train conductors, Mormon polygamists and Jewish slum-lords in his ancestry, Emit Bloch fuses pioneer spirit, Woody Allen-wit and California transcendentalism to create modern bluegrass and country music that retains the old time values of innovators like Jimmy Rodgers and Hank Williams.

"People think I'm gimmicking but I actually learned guitar on a porch in Utah watching a cowboy named Dave King pluck Hank Williams songs silhouetted against the kind of burnt russet sky that only the Southwest desert can supply", says Emit, who subsequently studied guitar with Joe Satriani while a teenager in Berkeley.

Sonically akin to field-recorded Lomax blues, 'Dictaphones Vol. 1' is an idiomatic paradigm shift, the nostalgic mixing seamlessly with the modernist and fantastical.

Throughout 2009, Emit Bloch has gleaned critical attention for his solo live show - described by one blogger as 'Avant-folk documentary' - combining experimental soundscapes with story telling, traditional finger-picking and expert song-craft.

Recently, Emit has opened for Seasick Steve, Dan Sartain, Moriarty, Beth Jeans Houghton, Jason Ringenburg and Paloma Faith and is playing dates thoughout the UK in March, April and May 2010.

"An exceptional songwriter...utterly remarkable." ***** - UNCUT

"Like a modern day Woody Guthrie he rattles through 16 songs filled with wry obsevations about life, love and hugging trees. And while tapping into the DNA of the great American songwriters, he delivers something fresh, vital uncluttered, brilliant" - 4.5/5 The Sun

Foxy Shazam currently have a digital and physical pre-order at foxyshazam.com. When you pre-order you'll get two tracks instantly - "Wanna Be Angel" and "Unstoppable."

Citing influences as varied as Marvin Gaye, Elton John and "Born To Run"-era Bruce Springsteen, Foxy Shazam has been creating unique, genre-defying music since they formed in 2004. From the anthemic "Unstoppable" to doo wop power ballad "Bye Bye Symphony" and the swooning "Connect Me," Foxy Shazam is an amalgam of blues, soul, and brash pop bound by a no holds barred punk-rock aesthetic.

Their songs "kick like mules and glitter like diamonds" said SPIN magazine, who named the band one of 10 Artists to Watch in 2010, and Simon Price of the London Observer declared "their ability to knock out killer tunes, wickedly witty wordplay and exuberantly maximalist sound (Andrew WK meets Dexys meets Springsteen) has already caused ripples, but it's on stage that they'll really blow your mind."

See for yourself on their upcoming spring tour, which includes a stop at SXSW.

Enter Shikari's latest release, Common Dreads (which debuted at #7 in the UK) is the follow-up to the gold-certified debut Take To The Skies - which also debuted in the UK top 10, earning the band headlining gigs and regular spots on the major worldwide festival circuit. The band's most recent UK headline tour culminated with a triumphant show in front of over 5000 fans at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Common Dreads is available digitally in the United States via the band's own imprint Ambush Reality in partnership with DGC/Interscope Records. The physical release will be available in all Hot Topic stores beginning April 13th. Fans can also purchase the album at all shows as well as from the band's merch store.

For the latest album, the group headed to the isolated Isle Of Wight and holed-up at Arreton Manor studio for three months with veteran producer Andy Gray (U2, Tori Amos, Korn, Gary Numan). Common Dreads is a 15-song soundtrack for an entire generation on a mission to define the era in which it was born: one of recession, paranoia, state control and the fallout of decades of accelerated capitalism; and on the other side, an era of hope, creativity, humanity, hedonism, irreverence and fun.

"Politics are unavoidable," explains lead vocalist ROU REYNOLDS. "We just can't write sappy music. Our first album was cryptic and metaphor-heavy, this one is more direct. Since we gained popularity, we realized, whether we like it or not, we have the ability to influence people - and with that is a responsibility to speak our minds."

Common Dreads is destined to unite the tribes, divide the critics and thoroughly satisfy anyone who has witnessed the mad live spectacle that is Enter Shikari.

Enter Shikari is: Rou Reynolds (vocals / electronics) Rory Clewlow (guitar / backing vocals) Chris Batten (bass / vocals) Rob Rolfe (drums).

"Reaching #3* after 28 weeks, 'Again' has been Flyleaf's biggest hit at Modern Rock radio to date," said Ben Berkman, EVP/Head of Promotion at A&M/Octone Records. "It has also been one of their most enduring as well, reaching this position after a steady eight month build. Furthermore, the track navigated one of the most competitive fourth quarters in the last 10 years, outlasting records from over a dozen established Gold & Platinum artists. 'Again' is a bona fide hit!"

The band, which just wrapped up a trek with Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin, will launch a sold-out U.K. tour on March 22nd, which includes a show at London's Islington Academy on April 1st.

Flyleaf will then return to the States for a series of festival appearances and a headlining tour that will kick off on May 4th.

Fair to Midland and Ten Years will open on the tour.

A ticket pre-sale will begin on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 3 p.m. local time at http://tixx1.artistarena.com/flyleaf. A limited number of VIP packages will be available that include early entry to the show, a signed FLYLEAF poster and several other cool perks. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday and Saturday, March 19th and 20th; check your local box office for details. (See below for tour itinerary.)

Flyleaf is Lacey (lead vocals), Sameer Bhattacharya (guitar), Jared Hartman (guitar), Pat Seals (bass) and James Culpepper (drums).

Based in Belton, Texas, the quintet has been touring nearly non-stop since the September 2005 release of its self-titled debut album, which spent 133 weeks on The Billboard 200 and contained the hits "I'm So Sick," "Fully Alive" and the RIAA Platinum smash "All Around Me."

Recorded with Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, The All-American Rejects), Memento Mori was hailed by The New York Times as "muscular and alluring" while Entertainment Weekly called it "galvanizing." "Break Your Knees," a track that appeared on the expanded edition of Memento Mori, was tapped for Healing 4 Haiti, a benefit compilation that was released last week on the iTunes Store.
