Singer-songwriter and actor-comic Creed Bratton, currently best-known for the quirky former 60's rock-star character he portrays on the NBC TV hit comedy series The Office, is scheduled to release Bounce Back, his first CD of new material in two years.

Assisted by his backing band, The 3DVB's and his Office co-star Ed Helms, Bratton returns yet again to his passion as a serious and accomplished musician.

"Bounce Back is more than just the title of my new CD," says the star. "It's what happened with my life and career."

A founding member of the seminal 60s rock band The Grass Roots, Bratton recorded and toured extensively behind the back-to-back monster hit singles, "Let's Live for Today" and "Midnight Confession," which became early 60s youth anthems. Several original members of the band reunited in 2000 for the 35th Anniversary of the historic rock venue The Whiskey A Go Go, where bands such as The Byrds, The Turtles, among others have played.

"This CD has been in my brain for 20 years.... I was talking to James Cameron and we both agreed that we had to wait for technology to catch up to our visions," says Bratton.

Produced by Dave Way, Bounce Back, a collection of guitar-driven pop and melodic tunes, includes the catchy lead single and video "Rubber Tree," featuring Ed Helms, as well as the dreamy Chet Baker cover "Let's Get Lost" featuring the smoky-voiced Canadian newcomer Tara Holloway. Other than "Lost" and a co-writer credit for the hilariously cryptic "My Heart's an Open Book," Bratton penned the entire album.

Bratton's Dunder Mifflin co-workers got a preview of the actor's guitar chops in a previous episode of The Office when Bratton rescued a not-quite-up-to-the-task boss Michael Scott from band jam embarrassment.

When asked what people could expect from his new release he replied, "Listening to Bounce Back will result in a paradigm shift in consciousness... you will never hear music or view life the same way again......and I'm down playing this a bit."

Fueled by Bloch's rapid-fire lyricism, unique guitar styling and cosmic/comic imagery, the 16 songs collected here are a tour through a wild west of eloquent grifters, talking rivers, bleeding clouds, interplanetary frontiersmen and neighborly psychopaths.

Born on a cattle ranch in Utah and transplanted by his professor father to Berkeley, CA - ground zero for all things beatnik - Bloch has a rich history to draw on when creating his distinct American music.

"I'd demoed these new songs at my kitchen table in London. They got me a publishing deal and some money to record with. As usual, the raw demos sounded better than the studio recordings, but quite unusual everyone agreed to put them out instead," says Bloch.

Helpful was the fact that when an early edition of the dictaphone recordings was issued to iTunes through Bloch's imprint, iDot (via One Little Indian), the recordings were chosen by iTunes editors as a front page pick.

With cattlemen, turn-of-the-century train conductors, Mormon polygamists and Jewish slum-lords in his ancestry, Emit Bloch fuses pioneer spirit, Woody Allen-wit and California transcendentalism to create modern bluegrass and country music that retains the old time values of innovators like Jimmy Rodgers and Hank Williams.

"People think I'm gimmicking but I actually learned guitar on a porch in Utah watching a cowboy named Dave King pluck Hank Williams songs silhouetted against the kind of burnt russet sky that only the Southwest desert can supply", says Emit, who subsequently studied guitar with Joe Satriani while a teenager in Berkeley.

Sonically akin to field-recorded Lomax blues, 'Dictaphones Vol. 1' is an idiomatic paradigm shift, the nostalgic mixing seamlessly with the modernist and fantastical.

Throughout 2009, Emit Bloch has gleaned critical attention for his solo live show - described by one blogger as 'Avant-folk documentary' - combining experimental soundscapes with story telling, traditional finger-picking and expert song-craft.

Recently, Emit has opened for Seasick Steve, Dan Sartain, Moriarty, Beth Jeans Houghton, Jason Ringenburg and Paloma Faith and is playing dates thoughout the UK in March, April and May 2010.

Irish music sensation continues new 'Songs From The Heart' Tour

With their marathon winter-spring U.S. concert tour expected to stretch into the summer, Irish Music phenomenon, Celtic Woman will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day on national TV March 17th with a special visit to Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa to perform on their hit morning show, Live with Regis & Kelly.

Celtic Woman will be performing one of their newest songs, "Níl Sé'n Lá," (which means 'Seize the Day') for Regis and Kelly, while the group is in New York supporting their recent chart-topping CD/DVD, Songs from the Heart.

After the show, Celtic Woman heads to the nation's capital to continue their holiday celebration that evening with a concert performance at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA.

The band, which just wrapped up a trek with Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin, will launch a sold-out U.K. tour on March 22nd, which includes a show at London's Islington Academy on April 1st.

Flyleaf will then return to the States for a series of festival appearances and a headlining tour that will kick off on May 4th.

Fair to Midland and Ten Years will open on the tour.

Based in Belton, Texas, the quintet has been touring nearly non-stop since the September 2005 release of its self-titled debut album, which spent 133 weeks on The Billboard 200 and contained the hits "I'm So Sick," "Fully Alive" and the RIAA Platinum smash "All Around Me."

Recorded with Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, The All-American Rejects), Memento Mori was hailed by The New York Times as "muscular and alluring" while Entertainment Weekly called it "galvanizing." "Break Your Knees," a track that appeared on the expanded edition of Memento Mori, was tapped for Healing 4 Haiti, a benefit compilation that was released last week on the iTunes Store.

Britain's most enigmatic roots guitarist since the heyday of the Yardbirds, 22-year-old Isle Of Man-born Davy Knowles returns to the UK this April with his band Back Door Slam and his brand new album 'Coming Up For Air', which was released in November last year by Blixstreet Records.

Davy Knowles will be playing four dates across the UK taking in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham and London in support of 'Coming Up For Air'.

The album has received much critical acclaim in the UK over the last couple of months including articles in The Sunday Times Culture, Classic Rock and appearances on BBC Breakfast TV, BBC London and Kerrang radio.

Davy's last gig in the UK in February this year was to a packed and eager 100 Club that saw Davy perform a truly masterful and mesmerizing set.

The Isle of Man native is proving that blues/rock guitar could very well be the next big thing with a style that unites young and old blues followers. The ever-expanding army of Davy Knowles fans will surely agree! You can catch him at one of the following dates.
