The Conditions announce their first ever UK tour – supporting Paramore and New Found Glory. Along with these support shows the band have managed to fit in a few headlining shows.

Formed in August of 2006, Conditions is made up of former members of Scarlet, FIAD, and Motion Picture Demise. After touring the country with their former bands and putting out numerous releases, they are ready to take their knowledge and experience to put it to good use with Conditions. These Richmond, VA natives have set out to conquer their hometown scene and pursue the spotlight on the national scale.

The band wrapped up their first demo with Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, Over It, Senses Fail) in Baltimore, MD in January of 2007 and has gained much popularity in and around their hometown. In May the band was invited to play at The Bamboozle Festival in East Rutherford, NJ where they grabbed the ears of fans alongside such acts as Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, and many more. Also, Conditions was voted to receive a spot on the Ernie Ball Stage at Warped Tour 2007 in Virginia Beach, which proves the band’s loyal local fans.

The all-too common curse of England’s top footballers – the dreaded fractured metatarsal – has now struck down your favourite psychedelic pop warrior, Paul Steel.
At his recent Electric Ballroom gig in London, Mr Steel was enthusiastically closing the set with a storming version of live favourite “Raygun” when he landed awkwardly on his foot. Although he braved it out until the end of the show, it was clear something was wrong and after a trip to the hospital two fractures of the 5th metatarsal on his left foot were confirmed.

Unfortunately, this now means that the rest of Paul’s upcoming autumn gigs have now been cancelled.

Here’s Paul Steel, explaining the disappointing situation in his own words:

“I’m really really sorry to everyone who bought tickets and anyone who wanted to go. The band and I are gutted we can’t come and the play the tunes to you. We’ll make sure the shows are rescheduled soon.”

“I was quite up for roughing out, but it takes me about 5 minutes to get to my kitchen on crutches and it’s exhausting. I don’t think I could do the show any justice without being able to move about on-stage.”

We shall endeavour to reschedule the dates as soon as Paul is better.

Stephen Fretwell is the real deal. With his latest release, ‘Man On The Roof’, out on Fiction Records, he brings to the table a classic sound, sometimes reminiscent of early Dylan and even Joe Strummer – but he’s his own man and is certainly not a carbon copy of anyone. I’m digging his voice – so refreshing, and whether acoustic or with a full band, the music and the songwriting accompanying it is superb.

The buoyant Motown vibe of Smokey Robinson, and the vibrant strings of a beaten up “Moondance” contrast the lyrical themes of souls in need of salvation. Mixed by Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley) for it’s single release, “Decimate” epitomises the confident production and defiant wisdom of Ford’s engaging new album. The b-side “Boy Most Likely To” is a heartfelt acoustic ballad showcasing Ford’s innate songwriting gift. The digital bundle will also include a bonus demo version of the a-side.

Having garnered critical acclaim both in the UK and in the US for his vitriolic home studio debut ‘I Sincerely Apologise For The Trouble I Have Caused’, David Ford’s ‘Songs For The Road’, his second album, is released on Independiente on October 15th. Currently available as a download only release it has already built remarkable ‘word of mouth’ support. It currently occupies the Number One spot on the iTunes Folk Chart, and is at Number Four in the 7Digital album chart with all of the album’s 9 tracks in their Top Ten downloads.

David Ford embarks on a nationwide tour next month, culminating in a headline show at The Shepherds Bush Empire on October 27th.

Transfer is excited to announce their Fall 2007 tour of the United Kingdom. A highly anticipated tour for the San Diego band, they will be reunited with the explosive rock of Leeds, UK band Vib Gyor for a two week trek across England.

Opening in Sheffield, on October 19th 2007, the tour hits major English markets including Leeds, Manchester, London and Liverpool before closing in Stockton at the Georgian Theatre on October 27. Additional cities and dates will be added and are available by visiting www.myspace.com/transferband.

Show goers can expect a high energy performance, blending a dynamic spectrum of thoughtful rock & roll and gritty guitars with emotionally charged vocals. Transfer, a four piece, consists of Matthew Molarius on guitar and vocals, Jeremy Chambers on bass, Jason Cardenas on guitar and Michael Cooper on drums.

Having spent the majority of 2006 and the first half of 2007 touring the American south and northwest in support of their critically acclaimed debut LP ‘Faded Signal’, Transfer found time to take home a coveted 2006 San Diego Music Award for “Best Alternative Album”, receive a ‘07 nomination for “Best Rock Band”, land a song on Sony Playstation’s “MLB the Show”, appear on MTV2’s “Bands on the Rise”, while receiving steady airplay on San Diego, CA stations 94.9 (KBZT) and 91X (XTRA).

Now, with their first single, “Sinking, Sailing” recorded and produced by Louis XIV’s Brian Karscig, Transfer embarks on a full scale tour of England armed with an exclusive UK EP release.
