MySpace Music is excited to announce an unprecedented set of Secret Shows featuring the pop-punk quartet All Time Low.

The band will be performing shows in Washington DC, Chicago, IL, and Orange County, CA, all on Tuesday, July 7, 2009.

The ambitious, cross-country excursion will begin at Midnight and is set to culminate in an evening show scheduled at Anaheim’s Chain Reaction. The Secret Show performances will be held exclusively for MySpace users who were recently notified via MySpace Music’s Secret Show profile (www.myspace.com/secretshows).

Three Secret Shows in one day is a venture MySpace Music has never attempted in its over three-year history, and it’s only fitting they have chosen All Time Low as the first band to carry out such a feat due to group’s overwhelming popularity within the online music community site.

“Pulling off three shows in 24 hours with an indie band like All Time Low is a testament to the strength of the music community on MySpace Music,” explains Isac Walter, MSM Music Editor and Creator of the Secret Show Franchise. “All you need is a rabid fan base in each city and the platform to support it.”

The band’s performance and trek across the nation will be filmed for a special episode of the MySpace Music Feed, a news show that will air the episode on Monday, July 20th.

“This is going to be a crazy adventure! We have wanted to do a MySpace Secret Show for a long time, and to be able to do the first ever one to span three times zones in just 24 hours is incredible,” says Alex Gaskarth from All Time Low. “We have never played three shows in one day and the fact that they span the distance of the continent makes it all that much more fun. Along the way, All Time Low, Hopeless Records and Ford Fiesta are teaming up to give fans an exclusive window into their three-show adventure with the band.

Electro-pop-rap female trio Millionaires will release a new 5-song digital EP entitled ‘Just Got Paid, Let’s Get Laid’ on Decaydance Records.

The EP will be available on all U.S. digital platforms on June 23, 2009, and will sell for the low low price of $1.99 on iTunes.

A physical version of the EP will be exclusively sold by the band at this year’s Vans Warped Tour, where Millionaires will be performing all summer on the Hurley Stage.

While tons of artists have claimed the now tired story of “being huge on MYSPACE,” the Millionaires always had their sights set on parlaying their jaw-dropping MySpace following (32 million plays, 200,000 friends) into both big media love and a solid touring fanbase. Sacramento, CA’s Dance Gavin Dance has unveiled a new track, “Don’t Tell Dave”, from their forthcoming release ‘Happiness’ on their MySpace page.

With combined sales of over 50,000+ units in the US, over 16,000,000 total plays on MySpace and a successful headlining tour behind them, Dance Gavin Dance’s 4th album for Rise Records is a progression and it clearly shows.

May 29th, 2009 will mark the release date of Walk off the Earth’s first 7 track installment of their new album, ‘My Rock’.

Never wanting to sit still, the Burlington reggae rock threesome are breaking ‘My Rock’ in two and releasing Part 1 on May 29th, and Part 2 later this year. Following up 2007’s colorful ‘Smooth Like Stone on a Beach’, the band has recorded some of their most honest songs to date, while keeping in line with their party-all-the-time attitude that made their debut such a hit!

Released on the bands own label, SlapDash Records, and recorded in their own studio (The Stoodz) the album is the sound of friendship, late nights, and hours of hard work finally ready for the public’s ears.

Walk off the Earth will release the album with friends Mean Tangerine And Tall Guy Short Guy (members of the Johnstones) at the Reverb on May 29th. They’ll then tour the new release heavily throughout the summer, including dates on the Vans Warped Tour. The world of pop and hard rock collide on American stages this summer with the driving sound of Defy Tomorrow. The band will be playing selected dates on the Vans Warped Tour in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado. The tour kicks off on Sunday, June 22, 2008 in Ventura, CA.

Formed in July 2007, Defy Tomorrow is the unlikely teaming of former MTV Pop Artist Marissa with lead singer for hard rock band ColdFusion, Mike Oliver.

Both founding members have received national attention for their musical talents: the music video for Marissa’s “Just So Able” was voted the No. 1 Pop Video on VH1’s Music Nation while making the rounds on MTV and MTV Overdrive, and Oliver’s ColdFusion were featured on the premiere episode of Dane Cook’s HBO special Tourgasm.

Defy Tomorrow will be featured in broadcasts of new MTV show Exiled, premiering August 2008, which follows Marissa and seven other cast members as they are sent out to remote locations around the globe to acclimate to life with indigenous tribes. The show will include footage of Marissa’s everyday life in Scottsdale, Arizona, including performances by the band. Previews for the show can be found on MTV’s website.

On tour, the band will be performing material from their debut EP ‘One Through the Heart’, now available through their website and iTunes. The sound matches Oliver’s hard-rock backing, featuring screaming guitars and explosive drumming, with Marissa’s impassioned pop-vocal delivery of her bitter, heartbroken lyrics.

The EP’s lead track, “Words Don’t Mean a Thing,” showcases a bitterly sarcastic take on a shattered love affair, against a chaotic, overdriven backdrop – as Marissa sings, “Words don’t mean a thing/Fairy tale endings don’t come true/I know that now and it’s ok because I’m over you.”

Taking place June 12, 2008 at the Guitar Center in Hollywood, CA, the evening will also feature Epitaph Records founder Brett Gurewitz (also of the band Bad Religion), Joe Escalante (The Vandals, Kung Fu Records founder), Tom DeLonge (Angels and Airwaves and Modlife founder), Philip Sneed (Story of the Year) and Max Bemis (Say Anything), with moderator Jason Pettigrew, editor-in-chief of Alternative Press.

Since its inception in 1995, the Vans Warped Tour has been a catalyst for new music, exemplifying a culture of DIY that has shaped a generation. It is the largest, most successful summer music tour of all-time, featuring over 200 bands who will hit 40+ cities across the U.S. this summer, attracting more than 600,000 music fans.

As the nation’s leading music instrument retailer, Guitar Center is pleased to partner with the Vans Warped Tour again in 2008, and celebrates this partnership with a special edition of Guitar Center Sessions, presenting some of the Warped Tour’s most prolific and influential players, including Kevin Lyman, whose vision nearly 15 years ago of combining punk, ska and skate culture into a national cultural movement has evolved into the longest running annual festival tour in North America.

Lyman, who also created the Rockstar Taste of Chaos and Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tours, and is a partner at Sideonedummy Records, will be joined by several other artists and entrepreneurs who have been instrumental in shaping the industry.

Guitarist and songwriter Brett Gurewitz, who formed the seminal punk band Bad Religion in 1980, originally launched Epitaph Records in the mid 80s to sell Bad Religion records, but the label quickly became a significant indie brand, releasing such notable acts as NOFX, Rancid and The Offspring. Epitaph has also spawned several sister labels, including ANTI-, Fat Possum, Burning Heart and Hellcat.

Joe Escalante, best known as the bassist for So-Cal punk band The Vandals, is also label owner of Kung Fu Records and morning radio host on LA’s Indie 103.1 FM, as well as being a film and tv music supervisor and former TV executive / entertainment lawyer.

Rounding out the evening is former Blink-182 guitarist/singer Tom DeLonge, who formed Angels and Airwaves, Philip Sneed, guitarist/songwriter for St. Louis hardcore band Story of the Year, and Say Anything lead singer Max Bemis.

Designed to provide informative, provocative conversation and hands-on tutorials, GC Sessions serves as an incubator for musicians, providing them an opportunity to network with their peers and gain career-fostering advice from their heroes in an intimate setting. The June 12th, 2008 Sessions will be conversational, as guests discuss “The Natural Progression of Music,” including the writing process, recording techniques, marketing, distribution, touring, and monetizing music.

Conversation will also naturally touch upon what it means to be both an artist and an entrepreneur, and the importance of creating businesses that foster and support such a vibrant (and massive) community of artists, fans and friends around the country based on shared music and culture.

Katy Perry, dubbed “internet darling” by the Associated Press after her breakout performances at SXSW in March, will perform on this summer’s Vans Warped Tour Hurley Stage for its entire coast-to-coast run, from June 20th to August 17th, 2008.

The 23-year-old songstress will join the traveling rock circus three days after her debut album, ‘One of the Boys’, is released by Capitol Records on June 17th, 2008.

Katy was one of five performers chosen by Warped Tour to play the official pre-party press conference in Los Angeles in April. “Warped is going to be grueling and hot, but I’m ready to survive it – even without showers,” Katy says. “Gwen Stefani did the tour back in 2000 with No Doubt and she looked fabulous hopping around on stage in her little polka-dotted dresses. I’m so channeling that.”

‘One of the Boys’ – a witty, pop-rock gem that showcases Katy’s sharp, candid lyrics, big voice, and feisty, girl-power swagger, as well as her appealing vulnerability, is the full-length follow-up to her debut digital EP, “Ur So Gay” (available on iTunes since last November), which has already earned the Santa Barbara, CA native a legion of devoted fans.

Those fans include the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna, who recently gave Katy shout-outs on two morning radio shows calling “Ur So Gay” her “favorite song.” She first spoke about it on the Phoenix, AZ KZZP-KRQQ John Jay and Rich Show where she prompted them to “check it out on iTunes.” Then on LA’s KIIS-FM, Madonna called the song “hilarious” and told Ryan Seacrest he “had to hear it”.

Katy performed “Ur So Gay”, a kiss-off to an ex-boyfriend that Billboard has called “zeitgeist-capturing”, on Last Call with Carson Daly on April 8th. The clever low dough video for the song had one million views within a week of appearing on MySpace.

Other tracks from ‘One of the Boys‘ have been gaining attention as well. The first single, “I Kissed A Girl,” has been put in power rotation at New York’s influential Z100. The reaction from listeners was so strong that the single was made available for purchase on iTunes on April 29th, a week before its intended release and ranked #24 on the Pop Singles chart within its first week.

Various other Katy Perry tracks have been heard several times on MTV’s superhot series The Hills, and “Fingerprints” can be heard in the hit comedy film Baby Mama starring Tina Fey.

Katy has also been tapped for Yahoo!’s ‘Who’s Next Critical Eye’, MSN’s ‘Ones to Watch’, AOL’s ‘About to Pop’ and Clear Channel’s ‘NEW! Featured Artist’ for June 2008.

No less a harbinger of ‘what’s hot’ than Perez Hilton who has predicted that L.A.-based singer/songwriter Katy Perry will be “one of the breakout stars of the summer” when Capitol Records releases her debut album, ‘One of the Boys’, on June 17th, 2008.

Katy Perry will also join the traveling rock circus that is the 2008 Vans Warped Tour, for the entire trek this summer.

‘One of the Boys’ is a sharp and witty pop-rock gem filled with candid tales of neurotic ex-boyfriends like “Hot N Cold,” “Ur So Gay” (watch video), “Mannequin”, crazy road trips with friends with “Waking Up in Vegas”, and figuring out who you are along the way, with first single – “I Kissed A Girl” and “Fingerprints”.

While the album displays Perry’s feisty, girl-power swagger, it also reveals her more vulnerable side on such regretful ballads as “Lost,” “I’m Still Breathing,” and “Thinking of You.”

“I think people can appreciate a songwriter who shows different sides, and this album has many different colors,” Perry says. “I can write my share of angry break-up songs but I wanted to balance it out with fun, summertime songs. But there are also sad songs about loss and making the wrong decisions. It’s been blood, sweat, and tears making this record. I’ve put everything into it and I feel like it’s my baby. When people listen to it, I hope they will understand where I’m coming from as a person.”
