Sunset Strip Music Festival: June 26 – 28, 2008

To commemorate the music history of The Strip, the 1st annual Sunset Strip Music Festival will be held June 26-28, 2008.

All performances will happen inside the world famous Viper Room, Roxy, Whisky, House of Blues, Cat, and Key Clubs on the Notorious Sunset Strip in Hollywood.

The festivities will kick off on Thursday June 26th with a special opening night party at the House of Blues, hosted by Mark McGrath, to pay tribute to the Godfathers of the Sunset Strip – Lou Adler, Mario Maglieri, and Elmer Valentine. There will also be a very special musical performance to end the night.

Friday and Saturday night will feature performances at each of the clubs by some of the latest and hottest artists. Check back often for the show list. Before the final performances on Saturday, there will be an exclusive panel discussion at the brand new London West Hollywood Hotel.

CNN’s Larry King will be interviewing the Godfathers of the Sunset Strip among an audience of music legends and industry experts.

Welcome The Eye The Ear And The Arm! So we promised there’d be some news and it has been well worth the wait. We’re happy to officially announce that Portia Records will be releasing The Eye The Ear and The Arm’s debut full length titled ‘Paths’. The first wave for this release will be through all digital retailers worldwide on January 29, 2008.

This will be followed by a cloth-wrapped digipak which will include a download card allowing you to download the album as well as a bonus track or two and some other exclusive treats. This edition, limited to 100 units, will be released on February 19th, 2008 exclusively through mailorder (and at shows, of course).

The Morning Benders Love Los Angeles!

The Morning Benders have been on the move lately and lucky for us there’s been a lot of action down here in Southern California. After playing some packed houses up in San Francisco and hitting up the YouTube offices, they recently played an Indie 103.1 show at the Viper Room and are now coming back for more in December. Make sure to keep an eye out for these guys – you’ll be hearing a lot with the release of their debut full length this spring!!
