Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone,In celebration of St. Patrick’s day ACM Records is proud to showcase some of our Celtic/Irish artists. NINE MILE BURN who take their name from a Scottish town, blend traditional Celtic acoustic and dance tunes with modern electronic instruments. By combining instruments like mandolin, fiddle, and mandocello with bass and guitar, Nine Mile Burn add their own flavor to the classic Celtic sound. The bands self titled CD is a well balanced mix of traditional and contemporary Irish music. The band has been playing shows in the Midwest since 1993. With many performances in Kansas and Missouri. The group has performed at weddings, parties, and other functions that desire traditional Celtic/Irish music.

HUGH MORRISON: Born in Wick Scotland and now making his home in Texas is ACM recording artist Hugh Morrison. He is known for his amazing squeezebox ability, he plays a three row buttoned key accordian rather than the more traditional Celtic piano accordian. Now based in Houston Tx, Hugh has never lost his passion for traditional Scottish/Celtic music. He has simply fused it with his Texas/Americana influences. By incorporating guitar, piano, keyboard, banjo, and cello into the music Morrison is able to create sounds which suite both musical styles. The result is something like jigs and waltzes meets plaines and prarie. His new album, “Under a Texas Skye” has recieved high praise from listeners and fans of Celtic music.
