Local San Antonian advances to Top 25 in National ‘Rock Star’ Contest.

Voting continues for Final Round and a chance to win a Record Contract with ATO Records (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Patti Griffin, and Crowded House), a Tour and $25,000.

San Antonio, TX – Lynette Brehm is the only Texan to make it to the Top 25 in the Star 98.7 FM (Los Angeles, CA) Rock Star Contest. Hundreds of artists and bands entered for a chance to become the next big Rock and Roll star, but only five will advance to the final round held in Los Angeles, California where each will have a chance to perform before judges and a live audience.

Brehm entered the contest because her sister, who lives in Los Angeles, heard about it on the radio. “She called me and told me about it”, says Brehm. “I had one day before the deadline to decide and enter. Now I’m in the Top 25!”

To advance to the final round of five for a chance to go to Los Angeles and perform, Brehm has triggered a grassroots campaign for votes. From her home in San Antonio, Brehm is enlisting online support of her fans in Texas, as well as in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, and as far away as Australia.
