BeatBuggy, Inc, the leading global music production community, announced today the re-launch of beatbuggy.com.

Beatbuggy is a new innovative social music beat catalogue discovery service aimed to let music consumers participate in the music industry. The new beatbuggy service will expand the company’s existing services by including mainstream music producers, incorporating links among friends, and offering free MP3s from emerging music producers. These new services also allow consumers to share ratings, discover new music beats, and play the music production quiz to see how their skills rank against their friends.

With a brand new look and a fresh image, Beatbuggy will help consumers discover music beats based on what they and their friends like. “This represents an epic change in how music beat catalogues can be marketed and promoted on the web,” said Duane Washington, CEO of Beatbuggy, inc. “We’re thrilled to be at the forefront of innovation, and we have re-oriented the site to create a more efficient channel for music beats from undiscovered music producers to reach fans.”

The company anticipates supporting other media players in the future.

As you know, I’m the drum cyberjournalist, searching the web for the best beat news to be had. When I saw this release, I had to include it all because of its creative, compelling interest.

For Immediate Rhythmic Release:
Enter Music Publishing Paradiddles to NAMM With Special “Bonham to Bonham Interview” That Cues Up The Past And Covers Drum History As It Was Made

San Jose, California – Enter Music Publishing, publishers of diverse, hip drum/percussion magazines, such as DRUM! (http://www.drummagazine.com) DRUM! Interactive, TRAPS and HOW TO PLAY DRUMS, has made available its February 2008 DRUM! Special NAMM (National Association of Music Merchandisers) Show Issue. It features an innovative tribute the drumming legacy of John Bonham (Led Zeppelin) including a joint interview involving John and his son Jason.
The interview (printed in a special minibook bound into the issue) celebrates the compelling 40-year old hold that John Bonham has made on the imaginations of drummers worldwide, and his son Jason’s recent powerful performances with the reunited Led Zep.

The History: “The Son Also Rises”
Since John passed away in 1978 it’s logical to ask how one could interview the father and son together. This editorial sleight-of-hand was accomplished by asking Jason and John the same interview questions twenty years apart. Back in 1993, DRUM! Editor Andy Doerschuk conceived the double interview between Jason and John Bonham. He asked Jason the exact same questions that John had answered in an interview twenty years before—and then published the answers side by side. The editorial result was both compelling and prescient. Though Jason had performed once with the remaining members of Zeppelin in 1988, no one knew then that in 2008 that Bonham Jr. would take over his father’s chair with Led Zeppelin. The original John and Jason interview has been updated and re-edited for this special issue.

“Like our 25-page opus to John Bonham that appeared in TRAPS Issue 3, which completely sold out, “Like Father Like Son” will surprise and inspire drummers of all ages,” said Phil Hood, publisher of Enter Music Publishing.

Elsewhere in the issue, DRUM’s February 2008 cover story explores the career of Zach Lind of powerhouse pop band, Jimmy Eat World. The feature of Lind discusses and investigates the group’s chart-topping emo sound even though Lind insists in the issue’s cover copy, “We never call ourselves emo, and never have.” You decide after reading this intriguing cover story.

There is also a report on the new band Another Animal, a project of Godsmack skinsman Shannon Larkin; a comprehensive buying guide of solid shell snare drums; and, a roundtable discussion with five of Nashville’s top studio hand drummers, Tom Roady Eric Darken, Ron Sorbo, Sam Bacco and Glen Carnuba. Of course, it also includes the usual assortment of educational features from DRUM!, including a look back at hot licks of the legendary Miles Davis drummer Tony Williams.

“We think this issue of DRUM! Is one of our best in terms of the diversity of drummers covered,” said Hood. “From the double interview of Jason and John to more contemporary drum stars, we expect our current subscribers and new readers to be highly impressed,” Hood continued.

For this year’s NAMM Show, Enter Music Publishing will deliver an additional 8000 copies of both DRUM! and its sister publication, TRAPS. The company’s booth number is 3543.

With this special NAMM 2008 issue of DRUM!, and all of its publications, Enter Music Publishing is well positioned to capitalize on the growing drum industry. According to
figures from the American Music Conference and Music Trades magazine, the drum industry has annual global sales of approximately $1.25 billion, and the United States accounts for up to 45 percent of that total.

About Enter Music Publishing
Founded in San Jose, CA in 1992, Enter Music Publishing, Inc. is a leading publisher of drum/percussion magazines, with distribution in 40 countries. DRUM! is the flagship publication of Enter Music Publishing, Inc. and continues to set the industry standard for editorial quality and innovation. In addition to DRUM! and DRUM! Digital, the company publishes TRAPS and HOW TO PLAY DRUMS.

The Channel House Publishing booth, at this year’s NAMM Show 2008, in Anaheim, Ca, will debut the complete Do-It-Yourself product line of books and DVD’s, featuring Deaf Symphony drummer Larry Cox.

The product line will include Do-It-Yourself Drums , which is a two-part series of goods and services. Part one is a comprehensive drum set instructional system. Part two is the Musician-Producer series, which is a complete solution for other musicians, songwriters, and producers, who are looking for practice options and studio-quality drum tracks without a hefty cost.

The instructional system features a three-level series, and eight supplemental programs — with more on the horizon. The system has a low cost structure that makes it affordable for everyone. The purchase options also provide some of the most flexible alternatives available. According to Larry, “When I sat down to design this, I wanted to come up with a comprehensive program that everyone could afford, while still providing quality learning. I also wanted to utilize the latest technology in order to provide the most numerous purchase options available.”

The Musician-Producer Series is twofold. Part one consists of a combination of pre-recorded drums, and the option of custom drums-for-hire (Digi-Traks). Clients may choose from an extensive library of drum loops, samples, and complete multi-track drum files recorded by Larry. Digi-Traks are complete multi-track digital drums, recorded by Larry, to fulfill the exact needs of a particular client. Larry explains, “My concept was to provide studio-quality drums for musicians at all levels, without the session drummer price tag.”

The Musician-Producer Series also includes Practice Pal, which is a comprehensive practice system that allows musicians to play along with pre-recorded musical arrangements — with and without the presence of their particular instrument — complete with sheet music.

The product line will also feature Do-It-Yourself Road Cases , Do-It-Yourself Studio , and Do-It-Yourself Session — all featuring detailed how-to books and DVD’s related to their respective topics.

For additional information on this product line, please visit www.do-it-yourselfdrums.com, or see it at the 2008 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, USA, Booth 2706, Hall D, Level One.
