Two New Music Collections from Dean Martin Released
Capitol/EMI has released two collections of classic tracks from crooner Dean Martin on June 7th, on what would have been the King of Cool's 94th birthday.
The platinum-certified Dino: The Essential Dean Martin has been expanded from a single disc to a two CD package that includes 36 of Martin's top hits and signature songs, including a previously unreleased studio version of "Rock-A-Bye Your Baby with a Dixie Melody." Recorded in 1950, the master was presumed lost until it was recently unearthed in the Capitol vaults.
The second collection, Classic Dino: The Best of Dean Martin, gathers 14 of his best-known songs on one disc, including "That's Amore," "Ain't That A Kick In The Head," and "You're Nobody Til Somebody Loves You."
Both collections are available in stores just in time for Father's Day, as well as digitally through iTunes and Amazon.
