Terry Lynn releases "Fire" - watch video

Terry Lynn announces her long awaited return with her fierce new single "Fire", with sounds produced by UK dubstep dandy and local bounder, High Rankin.

Terry Lynn

It's typical Lynn - hard hitting lyrics and tough beats that deliver an intended sucker punch. It demonstrates a fresh, straight to the jugular approach, as Terry focuses her perspective inward.

Since the release of her highly acclaimed debut album 'Kingstonlogic 2.0' Lynn has tirelessly taken her music and message on the road.

Flanked by a full band, including three drummers, and engaging visuals entirely synched to her performance, Lynn has performed at festivals as diverse as Sweden's Gagnef to France's Transmusicales, opened for Santigold, and toured the UK with Tricky, one of her biggest admirers with whom she has also collaborated musically.

Terry Lynn - "Fire" (Produced by High Rankin) video:

Throughout this time Lynn has been listening, writing and recording her follow up album, set for release this autumn, which she calls a personal "evolution and revolution".

The single cover, a photograph of a bullet ahead of the wave, is a creation of Schlieren photography, a technique that allows the visualization of density changes and shock waves. Schlieren techniques have been used in laboratory wind tunnels to visualize the supersonic flow of aircraft or to view the reaction of Fire on its environment.

"One of the most exciting debuts heard in ages." - The Sunday Times

"This is riveting, polemic stuff" - Mojo

"Stark, merciless electronic beats and noises ricochet like gunshots." - The New York Times
