So What Robot Releases "A Girl Who Reads" Single on Monday 22nd August 2011
On Monday August 22nd, Newcastle's So What Robot will drag the public to their feet and punch them repeatedly around the pleasure cortex with the release of their debut single, "A Girl Who Reads".
Born from the ashes of local favourites Odd Shaped Head and Indigo Colony, anticipation has been building since So What Robot's inception in 2010.
A year of studio endeavour and supporting the likes of Little Comets and Polarsets, has culminated in the impending release of their playful and energetic debut.
Dusted with dextrous hooklines and quirksome narratives, So What Robot take the bohemian swagger of Adam Ant, the punk-pop of Devo and infuse it all with a pinch of B52s and a dabble of Talking Heads' dance floor vibe.
So What Robot fill the stage with power, energy and nerdy cool; they are an enlightening musical barrage that promise to entertain and enthral.
The debut release is backed by an exclusive B-side Red Is Your Colour. The release is to be accompanied by a video from director Matty Brown (Little Comets, Vinyl Jacket).
