Leading the new wave of British rock-pop, The Wombats are the latest addition to this year's iTunes Festival, held at London's prestigious Roundhouse venue.
The Wombats will grace the stage on Saturday, July 16, 2011 and will be supported by All The Young who are building a reputation as a leading contender in a brave new era of British rock 'n' roll.
The festival and The Wombats' performance will be streamed live globally via iTunes and available to view for 30 days after the show's original airing (live iTunes Festival link at bottom of page).
The band will follow the show with the digital release of the 'iTunes Festival: London 2011' EP.

2011 has already seen The Wombats make huge strides forward with the release of their second and most successful album to date The Wombats Proudly Present...This Modern Glitch - debuting at #3 in the U.K. and #2 in Australia, and receiving worldwide praise.
Entertainment Weekly applauds their "bright, buzz-y indie pop concoctions that have made audiences on both sides of the Atlantic shake and swoon," while SPIN declares them "Echo & The Bunnymen for the internet age."
The trio also made their U.S. television debut earlier this year on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, performing their Top 20 UK single, "Tokyo (Vampires and Wolves)." The track was a BBC Radio 1 "Single of the Week" and has already gone gold in the U.K. and Australia.

The iTunes date adds to a hectic summer festival schedule that has already included Glastonbury, Radio 1's Big Weekend, a headline performance at Wakestock and Rockness, and continues with a sold-out Lovebox headline date, and two sets at the V Festival.
The Wombats will then embark on an extensive world tour, with a North American leg beginning October 19.
