THE NEW SINGLE FROM SIGUR RÓS' FORTHCOMING ALBUM KVEIKUR

Last month, Sigur Rós announced news of a new studio album, Kveikur. Self-produced by the three members of Sigur Rós - Jón Þór Birgisson, Georg Holm and Orri Páll Dýrason - Kveikur will be released on June 18, 2013, and is their first album since signing to XL Recordings worldwide.

The news came on the eve of the band's biggest U.S. headline show to date at New York's Madison Square Garden, and was marked by two new pieces of music: the epic 7min 46s studio recording of lead track "Brennisteinn", and a live U.S. TV performance of the album's title track on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

Sigur Rós has revealed a new single "Ísjaki," a further example of the band's shift towards a more direct and melodic sound. "Ísjaki" will be available as an instant download from midnight tonight for fans who pre-order the Kveikur via iTunes.

Meanwhile, following two incredible sets at this year's Coachella, Sigur Rós are continuing to play live across the globe. In addition to selling out some of the biggest venues in the United States, they are also primed to play some of the largest stages in world throughout the year, including their first UK headline show at Wembley Arena this November.
