Shaun the Sheep made his TV debut on Christmas Eve 1995 in the Oscar® winning short film, Wallace and Gromit’s ‘A Close Shave’. Ten years later he went on to star in his own television show on CBBC and now, loved by millions around the world, he is turning his hoof to the Christmas charts with the release of his theme tune.

Vic Reeves, who sings Shaun’s theme, has encouraged Shaun in his musical mission, “I wish Shaun all the best with his song and I think he has a very good chance of beating the X Factor winner”. But the TV star, who himself topped the charts with Dizzy has some wise words for his wooly friend. “I have warned Shaun that if he gets to the top of the charts he needs to keep his hooves on the ground.”

Shaun and his farmyard friends - Bitzer, The Naughty Pigs, The Flock, Timmy, Shirley and, of course, The Farmer - are starring in a fabulous animated video created by Aardman, creators of Wallace & Gromit, Creature Comforts and Shaun The Sheep.

“Life’s A Treat” is set for UK release on December 10th, 2007 on Tug Records and will be available as an enhanced CD as well as via digital outlets:
