We are happy and excited to announce the launch of the 2007 songwriting contest. With many new surprises, bigger prizes and amazing judges we are sure that this years contest will, once again, help us discover the best independent songwriting talent in the world.

For over 17 years, The New York Songwriters Circle has been the premiere spot in NYC featuring an eclectic mix of up and coming as well as many legendary Songwriters in an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Produced by acclaimed Singer-Songwriter Tina Shafer, our events are held at The Legendary Bitter End in New York City twice a month.

Throughout the years we have been fortunate to work with many of the music industry’s top talent including Norah Jones, Vanessa Carlton, Lisa Loeb, Siedah Garrett, Chris Barron, Jesse Harris and many more…

We have added many features to our website including a brand new blog, which will include video segments with music industry leaders, Q and A sessions and tip sand advice for songwriters and artists. We have also launched our very own youtube channel, and our flickr application will feature pictures from ongoing circle events on a regular basis. This year we are also launching our very own International award which is designed specifically for songwriters from outside the USA. Our list of Judges, amazing sponsors and prizes is constantly growing and we invite you to check out our website on a regular basis for all of the latest updates.
