- About Jailhouse! Records https://www.jailhouse-records.com David Johnson - President Dave Johnson is a veteran in the Punk Rock community who founded the magazine Channels of Bureaucracy before starting Jailhouse! Records in 2005. Through the success of the magazine, he was able to make friends and contacts with some of the biggest names in the underground music industry. In 2004, he received international recognition and attention when he collaborated with Punk Rock legend Joe King of the band "The Queers" in a cystic fibrosis benefit auction. Rare and highly sought after "Queers" memorabilia, signed LPs and posters were auctioned with the proceeds donated to various cystic fibrosis charities including The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He collaborated once again with Joe in late 2006 on a compilation CD entitled "For Money, Cars and Girls" in which 100% of all proceeds were likewise donated to organizations who work to raise awareness of the disease. Again a large portion of the money was donated to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Jailhouse! Records began as a sole proprietorship with an initial invest of $13,000. After four successful releases, and a few "non official" releases and collaborations, Jailhouse has shown profits in less than 2 years. Needless to say, that is relatively unheard of for a record label run out a bedroom on a shoestring budget. In late 2007 David Johnson was contacted by the cult movie studio Troma Films and asked to do the score for the upcoming cult/horror feature entitled Tromette. Dave Johnson's expertise lies in media communications, campaign management, press relations and sales. He posseses an immense knowledge of both the industry itself and the pressing and manufacturing of audio recordings. His writings have appeared in Punk Planet magazine, Beat of Our Own Magazine and on several online sites. David Johnson is responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of products, promotion and publicity, sales, merchandise fulfillment, and press contacts. Jim Tramontana - Vice President (A&R/Booking/Management/Publishing) Jim Tramontana holds a Masters Degree in Mass Media Communication and is a veteran professional musician with more than 15 years of national touring under his belt. He has also produced music that has appeared in feature films and television programs and has had radio play on major FM radio stations. He also holds numerous information technology industry certifications and has over 10 years experience working in information technology and Web design. Jim uses these skills and expertise as he acts as head of Information Systems, Artists and Repertoire, Band Management, Concert Booking, Music Publishing and Public Relations.
