Following a series of his own live dates, Example has met his match and is about to join the UK’s mouthiest and biggest female superstar Lily Allen as the headline support on her UK tour.

The 17-date UK tour kicks off in Sheffield on 16th November, 2009 and runs through to 17th December at London’s Brixton Academy.

Example burst onto the scene earlier this year with the release of the demonic club track “Hooligans” and went onto to dominate the summer with the smash hit “Watch The Sun Come Up” leading The Guardian to label him ‘a brilliant pop tinged superstar in the making’.

Live, Example’s energy is limitless and his show is a no holds barred performance – his raps are razor sharp and his newfound love of all things pop comes through with killer choruses in tracks like the single “Watch The Sun Come Up” and the Calvin Harris produced “Time Machine”.

Fans will also be treated to a sneak preview of new single “Won’t Go Quietly” and hear some Example classics like “Me & Mandy” and “Dirty Face” as well as the most recently released and totally deviant “Hooligans” which earned Example the tag of ‘dysfunctional electro pop sensation’ by the NME.

Zane Lowe, Nick Grimshaw, Annie Mac, Judge Jules, Jo Whiley, Chris Moyles, Sara Cox and Pete Tong at Radio 1 all sing his praises, and Pete invited Example out to Ibiza this summer to perform on his live show with other specially invited guests Florence and the Machine and Pendulum. Zane also asked him to do a live PA during his show at Eden.

If you’ve been following ‘Jamgate’ and Jam TV with Calvin Harris, you’ll know that he had a 20 tweet rant about a TV feature that he was asked to film where he was supposed to open a jar of Jam (that had been glued shut) by comedienne Holly Walsh.

He didn’t like the feature and started his JamTV channel on Youtube. That feature was filmed for PocketTV, something he didn’t know until now.

All the other artists asked to take part took it in good humour and the footage will be included in this week’s Pocket TV show on Thursday.

The Big Reunion, the UK’s biggest indoor winter festival, is pleased to announce that Calvin Harris, Tinchy Stryder and Dizzee Rascal have been added to this year’s festival.

2009 has been a big year for the three acts having had four No. 1 singles between them and spent seven weeks at the top of the charts.

Also DJ’s Eddie Halliwell, John O’Callaghan and Pete Tong have been added to headline Gods Kitchen. With many more acts and DJ’s to be announced this year’s Big Reunion will be the biggest by far!

The weekends are shaping as follows:

Calvin Harris along with Beardy Man, Eddie Halliwell, John O’Callaghan and Ironik will be joining The Wombats, Judge Jules, Westwood, Tall Paul and Eddie Temple Morris for weekend one (November 20th-22, 2009).

Tinchy Stryder along with Ironik and more acts TBC will be joining The Wombats, Judge Jules, Westwood, Kklass and Eddie Temple Morris for weekend two (November 27th-29th).

Dizzee Rascal along with Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Pete Tong and Ironik will be joining The Wombats, Judge Jules, Westwood, Graeme Park, Micky Slim Brandon Block, Utah Saints and Eddie Temple Morris for weekend two (December 4th-6th).

Ian Kaye, Event Organizer at The Big Reunion, said “Calvin, Tinchy and Dizzee have all had an amazing year already and with them all releasing albums later this summer they are only going to be in more demand and I am sure Dizzee won’t be the only one to win the Mercury Prize. So naturally we are thrilled to get them confirmed to play at this year’s Big Reunion.”

Tickets are available now and are priced at only £159. The price includes two nights onsite accommodation sleeping two-six people, access to all the venue’s facilities and a wristband allowing unlimited access to all six arenas for the entire weekend.

‘XFM Debut Sessions’ is a 2CD collection direct from XFM’s archives of session recordings and live performances, including Jack Penate, Jamie T, Kate Nash, Bloc Party and many others.
