Juan MacLean will DJ a benefit show in memory and in tribute to friend, band mate and legendary drummer Jerry Fuchs, who passed away in an unfortunate accident in the early hours of November 8.

The show will take place November 20, 2009 at San Francisco’s Mezzanine (444 Jessie Street). The show will also feature a DJ set with Parallels. A donation will be made to the Fuchs Family.

Jerry was a celebrated drummer, having recorded and toured with The Juan MacLean, Holy Ghost!, Maserati, !!! and Turing Machine.

Born December 30, 1974 in Marietta, Georgia, he attended the University of Georgia and moved to New York in 1995, quickly becoming a beloved fixture on the city’s music scene. When not touring, Jerry worked as a graphic designer for publications like Chunklet and Entertainment Weekly. Juan MacLean describes Jerry as “the absolute best at what he did” and a “supportive and loyal friend.”

The Juan MacLean has released a video of the extended version of “Happy House,” featuring some of Jerry’s best work. Shot at the Double Door in Chicago on June 16 of this year, the song is a crowd and critic favorite, having been named one of Pitchfork’s 100 Best Tracks of 2008. At nearly 20 minutes long, the performance is a testament to Jerry’s talent and dedication to his craft.

TJM and DFA also just released “Happy House 2 x 12″ with remixes by a wide range of dance music’s all-stars: Chateau Flight, Paul Woolford, Will Saul & Mike Monday, and VHS Or Beta. Lazaro Casanova, an up-and-coming artist and DJ from Miami, who turned in the highest-rated remix of the last Juan Maclean single, has been invited back once again.

MC Mr Bruce and DJ/producer Mr Chuckles, who collaborate to make Hip Hop for the 1930s, Big Band music for the 2010s. Splicing swing samples with squelchy synths over dusty drum loops, they’ve depicted a modern-day journey into a time of rogues, lust, affordable clowns and foot-tapping toe curling “get your brogues on” dance floor swing hop.
Kate Tempest is already a seasoned and prolific lyricist and live performer, and Sound of Rum are undoubtedly one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the UK live hip-hop and spoken word scenes yet.

Soundtracks! – The Best Movies Ever…without the talky bits! The first and third Saturday of EVERY month.

The Monarch – Camden Town, London

November Dates: 07/11/09 and 21/11/09

Time: 7.30pm till 1:30am

Do you remember when you first saw that pack of brats pegging it round the halls in The Breakfast Club?

Remember when Tom Cruise danced in his underwear in Risky Business and made briefs sexy – briefly

How about when young Leo, unsurprisingly, got all wet with the gorgeous Virginie Ledoyen in The Beach

Or when Patrick Swayze pulled Baby out of the corner?

What about when Danny Laruso started kicking some ass in Karate Kid?!

Remember when the Goonies tied Josh Brolin to that chair and cycled off in search of a pirate ship?

What about when Mr Blue, Pink, Brown, Orange, White and Blonde stepped out of their cadillacs?

Speaking of colours – you’ve got to remember The Blues Brothers?

Now…stop thinking of the music!

You can’t can you. Of course you can’t. Because behind every great movie is a great soundtrack and an ultimate music moment that will forever be etched in our brains.

So we have stolen our fathers car, rounded up the brat pack and are heading towards Beaumont at a steady speed of 88mph to reap some dancing havock upon the home of John Lithgow. And we are making sure that NOBODY is left in the corner!

Taking place on the first and third Saturday of every month at The Monarch in Camden, SOUNDTRACKS! is London’s fastest growing new club night. The SOUNDTRACKS DJ’s spin their way through the finest movie tunes ever.

Come jive to Dirty Dancing, Ferris Bueller, Pulp Fiction, Grease, Pretty In Pink, Lock Stock, St Elmo’s Fire, The Commitments, Superfly, Top Gun and all their many many friends.

Featuring in order of appearance -

- Soundtracks DJs
- The best songs ever from the finest movies beamed to screen
- Dirty Dance Offs
- Drinking
- Free popcorn
- And introducing more general all out tomfoolery

From the makers of Hugs and Smiles.

Written and directed by Soundtracks DJ’s

Now lets try this again…

Remember when Ferris Bueller storms the parade and does the best karaoke “Twist and Shout” ever?

What about when Michael J Fox is surfing through Beacontown on the Wolfmobile while Stiles blares out “Surfin USA”?

You know when Nicholas Cage sings “So Happy Together” to Nicholas Cage in Adaptation?

How about when Martin Blank sits outside the radio shack listening to Debi play The Clash in Grosse Point Blank?

Or when Kevin Bacon defies everyone and cuts loose, Footloose!

Remember the band playing in the background of the bar in Coyote Ugly? Probably not…afterall, it was The Calling.

More information:

November Dates: 07/11/09 and 21/11/09

Higher Heights Records presents another hard-hitting release from South East London mc PHOENIX DA ICEFIRE.

Phoenix has been crafting his skills for some time now and is getting ready to set the country alight with this, his debut release ‘Baptism Under Fire’.

Having cut his teeth through his garage scene roots, performing alongside the likes of P MONEY, FIRMER DEE aka FUNKY DEE, LITTLE DEE and BLACKS, has all helped play a part in his exciting new pathway towards individual success.

FREE Download: “Higher Learning” MP3 ft M9

Now 1/3 of MIDAS TOUCH with AKS & J DA EXODUS, Phoenix feels it’s time to step out by himself and bring some truth, experiences and opinions of his own to the mic.

This twenty-two audio gem is hosted by Higher Heights’s comrade and label mate M9. It is mixed by super scratch DJ ROAST who cuts his way seamlessly through Hip-Hop’s more rugged side.

Features form MASIKAH, 9 PLANETS and fellow crew members AKS and J DA EXODUS all add to the heat, spraying a flurry of condensed poetically punctuated rhymes that’ll burst a hole in your brain and leave your neck aching.

If you think it is icy right now – this is just the warm up! Phoenix Da Icefire is soon to be dropping his debut album ‘THE QUANTUM LEAP’ featuring KYZA and TRIPLE DARKNESS who recently formed the new super group ORPHANS OF CUSH. With the consistently sterling beatsmith CHEMO taking on all production duties this will be a follow up not to be missed.

‘Baptism Under Fire’ is out on Higher Heights Records on the 23rd November, 2009

Ari (aka el Bugalu Beat Train) is the founder of Cheap Thrills a Go-Go!, a collective of modernist DJ’s who are devoted to spinning forgotten psych, soul, funk, garage, and latin vinyl nuggets from the late 1950’s to early 1970’s.

Every Thursday night at Zuzu for the past couple of years he’s hosted a weekly dance party called Mambo Beat Club, which is devoted to these low down n’ dirty ass shakin’ sexadelic sounds.

On Thursday October 1, 2009, they will be celebrating their 2 year anniversary at Zuzu. Expect bad behavior, killer tunes, a non-stop orgy of hip shaking dance moves, and special DJ guest appearances.

It’s all going down:

First week sales of All-Star album explode worldwide

Guetta Scores His 3rd Consecutive #1 Single With “Sexy Bitch” Featuring Akon, The Follow-up To “When Love Takes Over” With Kelly Rowland And The Black Eyed Peas Smash “I Gotta Feeling” Which He Produced

“…David Guetta has been on a hot streak this summer. That continues with this party-rocking album…” – People Magazine

“Bring America to the club? Nah. He’ll bring the club to America.” – Los Angeles Times

“Guetta’s new CD is one big party!” – Associated Press

“The French DJ and the Destiny’s Child alumna make bootylicious music on this supercharged club hit” – USA Today

International DJ/ Producer/ Artist David Guetta continues to reach new heights around the globe with the Astralwerks release of his non-stop, party-thumping album ‘One Love,’ which features an all-star cast that includes Akon, apl de ap, Estelle, Kid Cudi, Ne-Yo, Novel, Kelly Rowland, will.i.am and Chris Willis.

The album, released last week has set new records for Guetta, debuting at #1 France and Belgium, #2 in the UK, Germany, Canada and Switzerland while landing in the top 5 in Austria, Italy and Ireland. In the U.S., One Love debuted at #12 on the iTunes album chart and #1 on the iTunes dance album chart while landing in top 70 on the Billboard 200, marking Guetta’s highest position on the chart to date.

“I’m thrilled with the success of my album,” expressed Guetta. “I knew from the moment I first stepped into the studio with Kelly Rowland and will.i.am that we were creating something really special and that continued with each artist I worked with on One Love.”

Guetta’s unique fusion of European dance music with contemporary American hip-hop and R&B vocals has been winning over critics and fans around the world since the release of ‘One Love’s’ first single last spring, “When Love Takes Over” featuring Kelly Rowland.

The single infiltrated dance floors and radio airwaves everywhere, quickly becoming one of the anthems of 2009, sky-rocketing to #1 on the European singles chart where it stayed for two weeks. “When Love Takes Over” which Entertainment Weekly proclaimed “the jam” spent 7 consecutive weeks at the top of the U.S. Billboard dance chart, reached # 28 on the Top 40 radio airplay chart and #76 on the Billboard Hot 100 which at the time was a new record Guetta.

The summer of David Guetta rolled on as the superstar DJ/Producer continued to set new records. The Black Eyed Peas monster hit “I Gotta Feeling” which Guetta produced hit #1 around the world and has spent 8 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart which helped the Black Eyed Peas to achieve a new Billboard Hot 100 milestone as the longest running artist on the top of the chart. “I Gotta Feeling” replaced a 12-week consecutive run at #1 by their previous single “Boom Boom Pow.”

The second second single from One Love is shaping up to be another global smash both on and off the dance floor. The pulsating “Sexy Bitch” featuring Akon knocked “I Gotta Feeling” off the top of the chart in the UK, where it has spent the last two weeks, giving Guetta his 3rd consecutive #1 in the region.

“Sexy Bitch” is currently heating up dance clubs in the U.S. and climbing to the top of the Billboard dance chart while officially impacting Top 40 radio this week. To date, the single has sold over 140,000 downloads in just 4 weeks. The video premiered on Yahoo! Last week.

After Kissy Sell Out’s busy summer – releasing his debut album ‘Youth’ to critical and public acclaim and performing at every festival he could with either his live band or his trusty bag of records – it’s time to hit the road properly.

The charismatic and musical behemoth that is Kissy has graced many a venue up and down the country and amassed a huge following on the airwaves of Radio 1 every Thursday…and he is now going on his own curated and produced UK Wide tour.

Featuring Kissy Sell Out performing LIVE with his band, alongside a stellar selection of support artists including JackBeats, A1 Bassine, Grum, Lee Mortimer, Eddy Temple-Morris, Andy & Jaymo, Foamo, Scratch Perverts and Duke Dumont, this looks likely to be a hot ticket for the months to come. Kissy will also finish the night off with his own inimitable DJ sets so the fans will get their full fill of his talents!

Not content with throwing one of the most popular and well received nights as it is, Kissy, in his quest to promote the best new talent is asking budding DJs to enter a competition to perform at select nights on the tour.

DJs are asked to submit their very own 15 minute ‘mix tape’ through Kissy’s MySpace site www.myspace.com/kissysellout. Kissy will then choose his favourite mix and the DJ will get a chance to play alongside Kissy Sell Out and guest DJ at Kissy & Ko show.

The competition opens on Wed 19th August, 2009 with the closing date on 1st of September, 2009.

Winners will be notified by the 8th September.

DJ Times Magazine, The Groove Cruise and WebCeleb.com count-down to final weeks in open DJ competition

Now in its 21st year of print publication, the leading authority on professional DJs, DJ Times Magazine (Testa Communications), teams with award-winning travel agency, Whet Travel, and talent discovery site for musicians, WebCeleb.com, to host an open DJ competition for amateur and semi-pro DJs seeking the first step in a career as a professional DJ.

From now until voting ends on August 16, 2009, contestants are invited to upload their live DJ mixes for public voting on www.WebCeleb.com. The grand prize winner will be announced on August 16th and prize package includes a spot deejaying before music savvy guests aboard Whet Travel’s semi-annual ultimate music adventure, The Groove Cruise, October 1st to 5th, 2009, aboard Carnival Elation from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas.

The competition is titled, “Who’s Spinning On Deck 10?,” and the winning DJ will be spinning alongside international jocks – Bad Boy Bill, Scotty Boy, Scooter & Lavelle, Kenneth Thomas, Anthony Attala, and more – as well as receive a complimentary ocean-view cabin for two. Paul Oakenfold’s world-acclaimed label, Perfecto Records, is hosting one of several parties onboard.

Other contest sponsors include: Mansion, 4theDJ.net, International DJ Expo, Masterbeat.com, and RockBandsFashion.com. To date, close to 100 aspiring DJs have registered to compete, and thousands of electronic dance music (EDM) fans throughout North America have logged-on to vote. The semi-finalists in the first four weeks of competition were: Miami’s Leonardo Del Toro, Miami’s Karbokane, New York’s Andrew Salsano and Vancouver’s G3N3R4L. The eight-week contest is a part of Whet Travel’s and WebCeleb’s effort to discover and support local talent by helping to promote aspiring DJs.

Said Whet Travel’s president, Jason Beukema, “Each week we receive requests from several DJs who want to play onboard the Groove Cruise. WebCeleb’s online voting system has been a perfect fit for what we were trying to do to find up-and-coming DJs for our Groove Cruises. It’s exciting to see the competition escalate week-by-week. We hope to help aspiring DJs get their music heard and potentially have that exposure result in media coverage, a record deal, and ultimately, more bookings.”

Now in its fifth year, thousands of professional party enthusiasts have experienced The Groove Cruise, recently featured in: The New York Times, MTV, CNN, 944 Magazines, and other media outlets.

Join us on The Groove Cruise from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas, October 1st to 5th, 2009, and from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau, Bahamas, January 29th to February 1st, 2010.

A.Human plus support @ Bloody Awful Poetry, Madame Jojo’s, Thursday 30th July, 2009

Bloody Awful Poetry return to the trendiest yet most louche of Soho haunts. The combination of live bands – tonight, the near – genius A.Human – the Confession Booth, the BAP Art Gallery and the world famous (seriously) Bloody Awful Poetry Competition – plus some surprises – is irresistible!

Madame Jojo’s, Thursday 30th July, 2009

Tonight’s headliners: A.Human
Dalston-based A.Human tell stories about the damned, the lost, the strange and everything in between. Vintage keyboards punctuate soaring triggered samples whilst rolling drums make an epic backdrop to wry and amusing lyrics. Influences range from the art school originality of Talking Heads to the thoughtful dance music of New Order. Chaotic, unpredictable and frantic are some of the words to describe their live performance, but you must see them for yourself!

Their debut album ‘Third Hand Prophecy’ (2008) was heralded as a masterpiece by the British media, included in the year’s round-up of ‘6 Albums You Should Download’ Sunday Times Style, and number 4 in the ‘Top 10 Albums of the Year’ in the Independent.

They cemented their success at the summer’s most high profile festivals including Glastonbury, Dot to Dot, Lovebox and a residency at Ibiza Rocks, with ground breaking and unique shows creating a benchmark for live acts.

A.Human on MySpace

“The new hope for live dance music … surreal electronic nursery rhymes-cum-seedy social tales” – The Guardian

“Simply it’s fantastic; a really tough, dirty synth-led electro rock brute and you’ll be all the better for adding it to your collection, you can trust me on that one” – Room Thirteen

“Frontman Dave Human’s voice is cool, dark and addictive. [Third Hand Prophecy is] An extremely mature – and wonderfully different – debut album” – Camden New Journal

Plus more live bands – to be announced.

Roll Up, Roll Up! The Circus is arriving at Matter.

Prepare to be awestruck, titillated and entertained as Circus, Jodie Harsh’s infamous club night rolls into Matter at the o2 for one night only, on 4th July 2009.

This year, Circus is officially teaming up with Pride London to present a host of spectacles much bigger, better and more outrageous than you’ve ever witnessed on a dance floor.

With a melee of special guest DJs and entertainers across two huge rooms of pandemonium and colour, this big top couldn’t be further removed from the carnival you visited as a child.

In it’s three years of delighting clubbers, who travel far and wide to join the Circus, the night has always boasted big name DJ’s. Tonight is no exception. In fact, it’s the biggest line-up Circus has ever seen and undoubtedly Matter’s most diverse and colourful:

Siouxsie (DJ): To call this lady “legendary” is surely an understatement: Siouxsie’s singing career has spanned a breathtaking three decades since taking to the stage in late 1976. Siouxsie’s debut single with the Banshees, “Hong Kong Garden”, was a massive hit in 1978 and kick started a torrent of 20-plus top twenty singles, 15 critically acclaimed albums and a musical journey that is second to none. In 2006 Siouxsie recorded her first solo album – the resulting “Mantaray” was heralded as possibly her best ever and contained the storming “Into A Swan” and “Here Comes That Day” singles. Siouxsie is one of the most groundbreaking and iconic females in popular culture and has proved an inspiration for an army of followers and admirers. Now, armed with her own personal record collection, Siouxsie has chosen Circus as the setting to begin her DJ career with an exclusive set at Matter.

Frankmusic (DJ): It goes without saying that 2009 is Frankmusik’s year. The electro singer, producer, disc jockey and remixer is near to completing his debut album co-produced by Stuart Price – who has previously weaved his magic on albums by The Killers and Madonna – while what little time he has left over has been given to remixing the likes of CSS and Mika. An established DJ, Frankmusik has toured the world spinning platters that matter and we’re excited to welcome him to the Circus.

Kissy sell Out (Live): He may have remixed the likes of Mark Ronson, Sugababes, Gwen Stefani, Groove Armada and Calvin Harris, and DJ’d the world over with his Kissy Klub, but tonight the Sell Out himself is performing tracks from his debut album Youth live with his band.

Secret PA (Live): Now announced as girl of the moment…VV Brown!

Jodie Harsh (DJ): Dubbed the ‘real Queen of England’, Harsh has taken drag to pop cultural levels not seen since the eighties and is an established DJ across the UK, and indeed the world. Jodie is currently in the studio working on remixes for various music outfits and has recently worked closely with both Larry Tee and William Orbit. Jodie is resident DJ at Manumission and is about to embark on a world tour with them. As the promoter of Circus, Jodie Harsh is your ringleader this evening, and promises many exciting surprises.

Dan Gillespe Sells (DJ): As the lead singer of The Feeling, Dan can claim to be in one of the UK’s most successful indie pop bands of the last decade. They have toured the word, swept up at award shows and had ten singles hit the charts in the UK. Dan is also an accomplished DJ with an arsenal of music.

Kris di Angelis (DJ): Resident DJ at Circus, remixer for Ladyhawke, Roisin Murphy and Lily Allen, and this summer’s new resident at Space in Ibiza, this Defected-signed artist is the new name to drop on the electro circuit. Learn it, because you’ll be hearing it often.

Room 2: Gutterslut feat. Tom Stephan, Per QX, Elliot J Brown, Nic Fisher, Miss Crystal MC.

Tom Stephan (DJ): Tom, aka Super Chumbo, is one of the hardest working DJs in the industry flying all over the world to wow crowds with his unique electronic beeps and pieces. He juggles his DJ commitments with production and remix work for Missy Elliot, Goldfrapp, Pet Shop Boys and Kylie, as well as Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez and Danny Tenaglia, while heading up his label ChumboMundo.

Circus is at Matter on 4th July 2009, from 10pm – 6am.

Tickets available from www.ticketweb.co.uk

Sirius XM Radio and “Party 105”/ WDRE’s on-air jock, THEO, teams with seminal house music label, Nervous Records, to release the latest installment in the enormously popular Nervous Nitelife series, titled, Nervous Nitelife: Summer Clubbing 3 (Nervous) on July 7th, 2009.

Summoning the summer’s best tunes – both underground and popular hits – THEO wrings every last drop of bliss from his many live sets and condenses them into a potent cocktail of thumping beats, rapturous synths and vocals galore.

On Summer Clubbing3, knockouts include Nervous label-mate, OSCAR G.’s, “Back To You” (RICHIE SANTANA & PETER BAILEY Mind Control Mix) featuring TAMARA WALLACE, and TRISTAN GARNER versus CRYSTAL WATERS’ “Gypsy Woman 2009,” the latter an update of an addictive classic and the former a classic in-the-making.

THEO gets his tribal groove on with UNION JACKERS’ “Drop” (PROK & FITCH Mix), until MARCO V. ups the progressive-house ante with the peak-time energy of “Unprepared.” MIXIN’ MARC gives a nod to early house with an unforgettable vocal sample in “Dreamin’” (RUDI STAKKER Mix), though the compilation wouldn’t be whole without RALPH FALCON’s “Whateva” (TOM STEPHAN Remix) featuring ALEX K. and ALAN T. In all, THEO grabs onto the friendly, happy, welcoming vibe he creates each summer and polishes it to a high luster.

A New York native, THEO PISANI cultivated his love for dance music through years working in radio, beginning as program director and mixshow coordinator on college radio stations at Bryant College (Rhode Island), Brooklyn College (Brooklyn), and Stony Brook University (Long Island).

After college, THEO scored commercial radio gigs at WLIR, WBLI and WXXP (which later became WDRE/Party 105), mixing on live broadcasts. At WXXP, THEO was hired by VIC LATINO as mixshow coordinator and eventually was named music director. (WDRE is a BDS-monitored station also broadcasting into Nassau County on 101.5FM.)

Today, THEO’s dynamic mix of house music is heard each week on Party 105 (105.3FM, Fridays live 5-6pm, and Sundays 2-4am ET), and on Sirius XM (“Air” on BPM, Saturdays 2-3am ET).

Off-the-air, THEO can be heard deejaying in leading clubs including: Cielo, M2 and Pacha (New York City); Neptune Beach Club (Long Island, NY); Harrah’s Pool (Atlantic City); and Nocturnal (Miami).

Official Summer Clubbing 3 release parties are being held at Neptune (July 11, 2009), Cielo (July 16th), and M2 (July 25th).

For the third year in-a-row, THEO has been hailed by DJ Times Magazine as ranking among “America’s Best DJs” (presented by Pioneer Pro DJ), a fan-powered poll that has seen THEO consistently placing in the top 10. THEO is also endorsed by Red Bull.

So I've finally figured out who the mystery guest artist is in the new campaign for MA DAME ROSE 'N' ROLL by Jean Paul Gaultier ...

So I’ve finally figured out who the mystery guest artist is in the new campaign for MA DAME ROSE ‘N’ ROLL by Jean Paul Gaultier.

1st hint – video: Jean Paul Gaultier Maison de Couture

2nd hint

There have been some hints – a video and picture stills that include: 1234, pink balloons, dancers, the headphones and vinyl record and I’ve had some crazy guesses along the way – but of course in hindsight, it’s obvious now!

The final hint 3 is this picture:

But it was the bonus hint, the egg, that finally gave it away:

I’m confident that Ma Dame’s Rose ‘N’ Roll mystery artist at the Maison de Couture is: French DJ and producer Martin Solveig, with singles that include “C’est La Vie” and “One 2 3 Four”.

Watch Martin Solveig – “C’est La Vie” video:

Built on the principals of innovation and diversity and fuelled by its upfront vision, Gatecrasher – the groundbreaking club brand – has propelled dance-music into the hearts of millions. Now, over three storming CDs, comes 49 defining Gatecrasher moments, featuring classic and future anthems from TIESTO, ARMIN VAN BUUREN, PAUL VAN DYK, PAUL OAKENFOLD, VERRACOCHA, U2, GOURYELLA, WILLIAM ORBIT, AYLA, BINARY FINARY, COSMIC GATE and ART of TRANCE.

The CDs mixed by Gatecrasher stalwarts JUDGE JULES, MATT HARDWICK and SCOTT BOND encapsulate a sonic soundscape of sixteen years of Gatecrasher and are an explosive, euphoric, hands in the air journey through the laser-imprinted anthems that guided to Gatecrasher to supremacy.

‘Gatecrasher’s Trance Anthems 1993-2009′ invokes stunning memories of trance’s golden era from the soaring melodies and powerful pianos of Humate’s Love Stimulation, to the evocative and climatic seminal Paul Van Dyk anthem For an Angel remixed exclusively for 2009 by Filo & Peri. The dramatic sonic journey continues with the sacred vocal trance of Not Over Yet from Planet Perfecto, Paul Oakenfold’s beautifully emotive epic Summer Sun, Armin Van Burren’s dramatic and ethereal Ubik and upfront future anthem Could Be Love from Judge Jules.

From humble beginnings to a world-conquering global club brand, Gatecrasher has continued to push boundaries and dominate dance music for 16 years. It’s reputation as a flamboyant, individual and hedonistic brand continues to grow and the Gatecrasher name remains emblazoned in the heart and soul of clubbers throughout the world.

The Gatecrasher lion has always sat proudly at the forefront of clubland, responsible of some of the most awe-inspiring, never-to- be- forgotten events.”2000GC” Millennium Eve event at the Don Valley Stadium, road blocked events at Birmingham’s NEC Area and the sell-out Summer Sound System festival are immortalised in club-history.

If you were there when Tiesto and Timo Maas both made their UK debuts at the club, or when Paul van Dyk rocked 27,000 people at the Don Valley stadium. If you recall with moist eyes watching England beat Germany 5-1 on the huge screens at the Gatecrasher Summer Sound System, before heading off to dance until the sun rose. If you risked life and limb each Saturday, travelling across the ‘snake’s pass’ from Manchester or got that buzz of anticipation as you headed up the M1 and the first signs for Sheffield began to go racing past, this album is for you..

2009 sees Gatecrasher continue in its quest to be world-renowned with the opening of its £5million flagship venue in Birmingham. Since the club opened over ½ million clubbers have flocked to the venue with DJs including Eric Morillo, Tall Paul, Fedde Le Grand and Laid Back Luke rating the club amongst the top venues in the world. Gatecrasher’s Trance Anthems provides the perfect opportunity to look back to the club’s heritage, as the brand further evolves and broadens its musical spectrum.

Judge Jules commented, “Gatecrasher has occupied a significant place in my heart since I became resident there in the late 90s. There was simply no place like it in terms of atmosphere and unique, musically-knowledgeable crowd. Now, after sixteen years, it’s proved its credentials by weathering every clubland storm, coming out stronger and just as relevant as ever.”

Gatecrasher’s Trance Anthems is a salute to one of the most iconic clubbing movements in dance music. A sonic-soundscape of clubbing history immortalised forever. Re-live the future.

I’m still in the process of trying to figure out who the mysterious artist is in the new campaign for MA DAME ROSE ‘N’ ROLL by Jean Paul Gaultier.

There are three hints.

The first hint was in yesterday’s post – which included a video and the pink numbers 1234 in the photo below:

1st hint – video: Jean Paul Gaultier Maison de Couture

The second hint is the top photo with the record and headphones.

The third hint will come soon.

At first I thought it was a girl, but now I’m pretty sure it’s a guy.

I think it’s a trendy DJ or producer.

Maybe Mark Ronson?
