Tim Young Band is becoming more and more associated with the Podcast nation. The first week of September has seen three podcasts pick up on the sounds of Tim Young Band.

Tim Young’s The Cost - musicdish

Two on either side of our USA and one from our brothers and sisters in Italy. First up is a program from New Hampshire known as Opinionated Ramblings hosted by a DJ by the name of CeeJay. CeeJay chose to start off her Labor Day special podcast with the song ‘Work Today’ which is from Tim Young’s solo album RED. RED was released in the Spring of 2005. This year’s THE COST is the follow up. CeeJay is a southerner transplanted to New England and a musician herself. The Labor Day special is Podcast number 56 and first aired on September 1, 2008. http://ceejay64.blogspot.com/

‘Hangin In’ caught the ears of two gentlemen in Italy who have a podcast known as AmiciAmici. The site is all in Italian but it sounds like these guys really love what they do. ‘Hangin In’ debuts on their Podcast number 61 or Puntata 61. ‘Hangin In’ is showcased on THE COST. This program first aired on September 3, 2008. http://www.amiciamici.com/rubrica/podcast/

Rounding off the week was The choice of ‘Outta Town’, from THE COST. A very prolific podcaster by the name of David Tanny aired this track on his I Still Get Demented Podcast Edition show number 32 out of San Diego, CA. David makes special notice of ‘Outta Town’ and also fills his shows with parody and political humor. A very entertaining listen. Show number 32 first aired on September 6, 2008. http://www.dfsxradio.com/5200.htm

Podcasters are able to search for and find podsafe music, which is original music wholly controlled by its creators, at the Podsafe Music Network. Artists can create an account there and post the music they’d like to make available for podcast. http://music.podshow.com/

As this first week of September is demonstrating the music of Tim Young Band is appealing and attractive to people in the industry. These podcasters are among the vanguard in their support and attempts to help spread the buzz about these great songs. In addition, Tim Young Band, is beginning to build a potent web presence with the aid of MusicDish.com in their tireless efforts to help promote the new album THE COST.

The New York City-based alternative-hard rock band, Atomic Brother, has been selected to showcase at the 2008 Baltimore Music Conference. Atomic Brother is one of only about 100 bands and DJs selected to perform showcases at this year’s Baltimore Music Conference, taking place September 17-20 at venues throughout Baltimore.

Atomic Brother’s showcase is 10 PM Friday, September 19 at Bedrock, 401 W Baltimore St., Baltimore, MD.

The Baltimore Music Conference’s mission is to support and nurture the local scene, and showcase talent that needs exposure. “It’s easy to get lost among the 1000+ performers at other conferences,” says bassist S.A. Sebastian Gnolfo, “We’re excited to be playing a conference where the organizers are making an effort to give each performer maximum exposure.”

In addition to the band’s performance, Atomic Brother bass player, Sebastian, will be speaking on the conference’s Podcast/Webcasting Panel, earlier Friday afternoon, discussing “changes in how people are being exposed to music,” and the making of band’s video podcast, Wastin’ Time With Atomic Brother.

About Atomic Brother:

Atomic Brother was formed in 2003 by James Melillo on lead vocals and guitar and S.A. Sebastian Gnolfo on bass and vocals. Calling themselves, “Alternative Hard Rock,” many listeners compare Atomic Brother’s music to Disturbed, Megadeth, Alice In Chains, Henry Rollins, Ramones, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix.

Atomic Brother, spent the last year performing in support of their debut album, See Me Comin’, which has garnered the band international attention and support, especially in Switzerland, where the album was recorded. The song “Everything and Less” reached #7 on Zürich-based Redaktion Rockstation radio charts, and SwissRecords.com asserts that, “Atomic Brother can certainly write powerful songs.” The band’s podcast, now in its second year, often gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at songwriting and recording, rehearsing and performing, the sometimes not-so-rock and roll side of being in a band in New York City, and sometimes just fooling around and having fun.

About the Baltimore Music Conference:
The Baltimore Music Conference is about supporting and nurturing the local scene, as well as bringing visiting talent into our city. Set up predominantly to showcase those who need exposure, but also those who have made a name for themselves in the music industry as we believe each benefits and can help one another.

The 2008 Baltimore Music Conference takes September 17-20, at 14 venues throughout Baltimore. For more information about the Baltimore Music Conference, please contact Lisa Chaplin Suit - Executive Director / Founder of the Baltimore Music Conference at LSuit @ bmcon.org.

Mike Cameo’s Indies Top 10 Collects Chart Topping Indie Artists Worldwide for Podcasts

To the rapidly changing and expanding universe of Indie pop music, a new website - Mike Cameo’s Indies Top 10 ( http://www.IndiesTop10.com ) - brings a tool for music fans to easily find, download, and listen to the best of the Indie best.

“Mike Cameo’s Indies Top 10 constantly scans the web checking the Indie charts and each month selecting the most-listened-to artists and their music,” says Edward Galt, chief executive officer of Graham Cracker Productions and producer of the Indies Top 10. “Great Indie music is being created from New Zealand and Australia to Japan, Sweden, and Spain - to name just a few places.

We’ve watched the charts of Indie music websites around the world, invited the most active and solid, and now gather the best music from our selected sites’ charts to bring you Mike Cameo’s podcast.”

In addition to the music itself, the website and podcast carries Indie music news and exclusive interviews with the Independent artists who are hitting the charts.

“I live my life in the music world,” says Mike Cameo. “But the amount of great Indie music being created everywhere on earth still surprises me. There is so much - it’s overwhelming. With more and more bands uploading their music to the internet - and new Indie charts going up daily, we decided there should be a “best of the best”. Every musician on the show is an exceptional artist who deserves the spotlight.”

“We’re having a blast! I research the Indies Top 10 selected sites. These are the sites that have a great standing with Indie musicians and do well in tracking who’s being listened to. We use these sites’ charts to create the Indies Top 10 shows - as well as news and exclusive interviews.”

“And… we always save OUR No. 1 selection for last.”

For March, Mike Cameo’s Indies Top 10 announces OurStage.com and IACMusic.com joining the Indies Top 10 selected sites. The Indies Top 10 selected sites also include SongPlanet.com, Garageband.com, CDBaby’s Top 10 Seller List, Broadjam.com, BoostIndependentMusic.com, IndieCharts.com, BBC’s UK Independent Top 30 and our final addition to be announced in April.

Mike Cameo’s Indies’ Top 10 is now available in iTunes.

New York - Atomic Brother announces the launch of their new video podshow, Wastin’ Time With Atomic Brother (http://atomicbrother.com/wastin). Wastin’ Time With Atomic Brother, a video podcast, is a personal invitation from the band to a look inside their world, taking you behind the scenes with the alternative hard rock band in studio, band practice, in concert, wherever, whenever.

Atomic Brother is leveraging new media technology and the growing popularity of podcasting to get value added content directly to their fans, and to connect with a new audience. “Using this new media technology gives bands a new avenue to distribute and promote themselves while keeping control within the band,” says Michael J. Carrasquillo, filmmaker and Atomic Brother drummer.

As an unsigned band Atomic Brother enjoys a level of freedom and control that most of their major label counterparts do not. The podshow is uncensored and unfiltered by marketing departments and record company executives. “We’re very excited about the new podshow” says S.A. Sebastian Gnolfo, Atomic Brother bass player and founder. “We’ve had video content on our site for a long time, but with Wastin’ Time we’re having fun telling our story the way we want. It isn’t just promotional clips.”

The band is currently producing and editing the podshow themselves with Carrasquillo at the helm. There are currently two episodes available at the Wastin’ Time With Atomic Brother website (http://atomicbrother.com/wastin) and at iTunes (www.itunes.com) with more episodes in development. The show is available free for fans and viewers to load into their iPod or other video compatible MP3 players, to watch where they want, when they want.

The first episode of Wastin Time With Atomic Brother takes viewers to the Atomic Brother show at the Trash Bar in Brooklyn, NY in March. Fans and viewers will get to see a live performance of the song “Employee of the Month” plus a glimpse into the personal, fun side of the band while they hang out having fun at the club with fans and friends.

The second episode goes behind the scenes at band rehearsal preparing for a show at Crash Mansion in NYC with a live performance of the song “Not My Fault” and hang out with the band having fun in the studio.

Atomic Brother (http://atomicbrother.com) is an alternative hard rock band based in the NYC/Northern NJ area. Atomic Brother is James Melillo on guitar and lead vocals and S.A. Sebastian Gnolfo on bass and vocals and Michael J. Carrasquillo on Drums. In 2004, the band made their debut release with the single “Elected.” In spring 2007 the band will be releasing their debut album, See Me Comin’.

Michael Carrasquillo (http://www.isol8ed.com) is a multi-talented artist, photographer, filmmaker, drummer, producer & remixer of many artists including, Slick Idiot, Chemlab and Die Symphony. Michael directed and edited Atomic Brother’s music video “Take You Away” and also produces his own podcast called The Trials Of Being M!K3 (http://isol8ed.com/trials/).

A new free podcast called the “Indie Punk Rock Podcast” launched today with the goal of making it easier to find new independent punk rock music.

The podcast is targeting listeners and the media industry with interest in discovering some of the best music by independent punk rock bands.

“Podcasting is very significant for independent music. It has fueled the rise of amateur DJs - like myself - who are helping consumers and media discover music that they might never otherwise have heard of. Podcasting also addresses a new generation of youth - “Generation i” - who don’t own radios or CD players, but who own computers and iPods. For this new generation, podcasting is what FM radio has been to past generations”, says DJ Indie from the Indie Punk Rock Podcast.

Listeners can play the podcast on the Indie Punk Rock Podcast website or have new podcast episodes automatically delivered to their computer, the moment they are posted to the site. There are options for people at every level.

Option 1: Download the podcast to pc or iPod.
Option 2: Get the podcast by email.
Option 3: Add the Podcast to start page.
Option 4: Embed the podcast player in any website.

Get more information at the Indie Punk Rock Podcast website:
