Fueled by "My Best Theory," the band's fifth top 5 Modern Rock single, the album sold more than 37,500 in its first week, besting first week album sales from many other well-known artists, including Neil Young, Phil Collins, Bad Religion, Interpol, and Seal to name just a few.

'Invented' has received considerable acclaim, with many reviews praising it for harkening back to the band's classic albums Clarity and Bleed American.

The album acts as a reunion of sorts, with the band teaming up once again with producer Mark Trombino, who helped them craft their remarkable signature sound on both seminal Jimmy Eat World albums.

Spin praised Invented remarking "These influential Arizonans have been churning out carefully calibrated emo-rock jams for so long that you kind of wish they'd lengthened the title of their album by a few words: Jimmy Eat World Invented This Sh*t…"

Jimmy Eat World are in the middle of a North American tour (dates below), and will begin their Europe/UK tour starting November 3 in Amsterdam.

Reviews of the US shows have been nothing less than stellar with Newark Star Ledger, saying the band was in "great form," and the Washington Post saying the band sounded "as fiery as ever."
