Razor & Tie is excited to announce the addition of Madina Lake to its expanding rock roster.

The band has completed work on its new studio album, World War III set to be released in the Fall of 2011.

Prior to the release of the new record, Madina Lake will join the likes of Linkin Park, Disturbed, Bullet For My Valentine, The Gaslight Anthem and others on June 12, 2011 on the main-stage of U.K.'s Download Festival at Donington Park. Also beginning June 29th, the band will join this summer's the Vans Warped Tour.

The past few months for Madina Lake have been tumultuous to say the least. Last June, Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone was hospitalized after intervening in a domestic violence incident in Chicago involving a man beating his wife. In critical condition, Leone's injuries included a fractured skull, broken jaw and a swollen brain as doctors removed one-third of his skull while waiting for the swelling in his brain to go down.

Local musicians and supporters pulled together to raise money for Matthew's hospital bills with The Smashing Pumpkins playing a benefit show in Chicago raising over $80,000. A lot of uncertainty followed, with doubts that Madina Lake would ever play together again. Fortunately, Matthew's recovery in the last year has been nothing short miraculous.

On April 23rd 2011, the band made a triumphant return in sold-out homecoming show in Chicago.

Watch an interview with the band from the event:

"Razor & Tie has always been one of those labels we wished we signed from day one. Being fans of bands like Norma Jean and Saves the Day, the label's had an heir of diversity, credibility and mystique that always made it so intriguing. Not to mention, Razor & Tie has achieved success with artists spanning several genres which is a testament to the passion they have for what they do. After the tumultuous year we've had, it's an honor and a privilege to be partnering up with them to release what is Madina's most profound and significant record to date," said Nathan Leone of Madina Lake.

Madina Lake's new album will be the third and final installment of their concept trilogy, World War III which continues the Leone brothers' tales of a metaphorical universe.

Pouring their life experiences into their songs, Madina Lake set out to release three albums which would congruently tell the story of Madina Lake, a small town of their own creation, which would also serve as the canvas for a much larger message.

The first chapter, 2007's From Them, Through Us, to You (Roadrunner Records), introduced the town set in the 1950's and the story is focused on the town socialite (Adalia), who goes missing, and the reaction the town's inhabitants have - a commentary on society's obsession with celebrity and materialism.

The second chapter, 2009's Attics to Eden (Roadrunner Records), continued the search for the missing socialite while introducing other characters to the world outside Madina Lake as well as exploring Adalia's journey. The album dove into the psychological aspects of the society and what truly separates and degrades humanity when elements of greed, lying, cheating, violence, power struggles and insecurity are displayed.

In the final chapter, World War III, concludes with the discovery of Adalia and an epic battle of good and evil that mirrors human internal struggles with self.

"In a way we made this record subconsciously. So much was going on around us that we didn't have the energy to over think it. At the same time we knew how important it would ultimately become in our lives so every single moment counted. It's by far our heaviest record to date both sonically and emotionally," explains Nathan Leone.

Over the years, Madina Lake has toured with Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Paramore and Gym Class Heroes, in addition to taking part on several runs of the Vans Warped Tour.

Madina Lake is Nathan Leone (Vocals), Matthew Leone (Bass, Vocals), Mateo Camargo (Guitars, Programming), and Daniel Torelli (Drums).

Madina Lake is the latest addition to independent label Razor & Tie's expanding music roster that includes such artists as All That Remains, Norma Jean, Chelsea Grin, Saves The Day, Vanessa Carlton, Nicole Atkins, The Summer Set and many more.

The New York City-based label is one of the fastest growing independent record companies in the United States, and has garnered both Platinum sales and Grammy awards in its 20-year history.
