Red Hot Chili Peppers 11th studio album The Getaway debuted at number one around the world on June 27, 2016. The heralded studio album from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees debuted at #1 on the Billboard Album Sales Chart selling 108,000 traditional units and debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 with 118,000 album equivalent units.

The Getaway, marks the Grammy Award-winning band’s seventh top 10 album and third #2 on the Top 200 Chart. The album debuted at #1 in Australia, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands and New Zealand. It debuted at #2 in the United Kingdom and Germany.

It’s been a bit of a mixed bag of weather this summer so far. So what could cheer up a gloomy day better than Waterfahl‘s new EP? Laying back with your chair leaning against the wall, with the cloudy/sunny weather leaking through the window and listening to the opening track “Another Story”, nice, welcoming lazy blues. Hanne Fahl‘s warm singing and harmonica weaves some inspiring patterns into the air with Finn Fahl‘s acoustic guitar orchestrating the mood.

Well, what can I say! Firstly I would like to thank all the musicians who performed and also thank everyone who came out to enjoy the eclectic mix of music played.

It was an early start on Sunday afternoon. We, Purple May, began at about 1.45pm. We played some of our original songs and a few covers, like “That’s Entertainment” (The Jam) and “Because The Night” (Bruce Springsteen/Patti Smith). We then cleared a space for Osprey, who we have down as one of the busiest musicians and promoters in Oxford. He played a varied set, I always love his take on the Johnny Cash song “Folsom Prison Blues”.
