Andrae Crouch
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA–July 24, 2006–The name Andrae Crouch has become synonymous with Gospel music and the 40th anniversary of his musical ministry comes into clear focus once again with another genre defining CD titled Mighty Wind.

Gospel music is the chicken soup for the soul and Andrae Crouch has assembled a superlative group of musicians to back his familiar vocals with cohesive and strong interplay between the music and lyrical foundation of the release.

Mighty Wind entails fourteen inspiring tracks filled with gospel and a strong undercurrent of R & B and funk to make it more appealing to a wider audience of potential listeners. It is always the intention of the ministry to spread the word of the Lord and never was there a time when we need it more desperately than today. These trying days call for drastic measures at times and the voice of the church can give us all hope for another day and a better world. Music can be healing and the combination of Andrae’s enormous presence and appeal in the world community only becomes more magnified with the release of the excellent Mighty Wind.

“Styles and tastes change,” Andrae says, of the guiding spirit behind his first studio album of newly recorded music since 1997’s acclaimed Pray. “Yet the message of the gospel never changes. I try to bring that truth into a contemporary setting, through melody, rhythm, and lyrics that will draw people in. But I guess you could say that the more things change, the more they stay the same. And God’s truth is always the same: yesterday, today and tomorrow.
