"Glad You Came" The Wanted cover by Plug In Stereo - video:
Singer/multi-instrumentalist Plug In Stereo, known to friends and family as Trevor Dahl, released his label debut EP, entitled The Patience EP, earlier this year.
The Patience EP is highlighted by current hit single "Oh Darling (Feat. Cady Groves)," which has already achieved sales in excess of 100,000. In addition, the song's companion videos are popular YouTube favorites, with total views now approaching 3 million.
A veteran of countless middle school and high school bands, Dahl, who writes all of his own songs, truly found his creative voice when he began recording as Plug In Stereo. Two self-produced, self-released EPs followed, with his sound earning him critical praise as well as support slots on national tours with the likes of Dashboard Confessional, Never Shout Never, and The Ready Set.
Plug In Stereo's full-length Triple Crown Records debut, Nothing To Something, saw Dahl branching out in more acoustic-based pop songcraft and was greeted with unanimous applause upon its spring 2011 arrival.
"(Dahl) is a bona fide songwriter in the vein of Jason Mraz and John Mayer, with a ragamuffin edge," declared Alternative Press, also saying of "Oh Darling," "Put this one on repeat and remember your first kiss, over and over."
A charismatic live performer, Plug In Stereo has spent much of the past two years on the road headlining and sharing stages with bands like The Scene Aesthetic, He Is We, and Carter Hulsey, as well as performances on the sold-out "Glamour Kills Tour" with The Ready Set and at the 2011 and 2012 Bamboozle Festivals.
Trevor will support He Is We on two shows next week:
Tuesday, June 5, 2012 Portland, OR Hawthorne Theater
Wednesday, June 6, 2012 Seattle, WA El Corazon
