After accumulating more than 750,000 views on YouTube within 6 months with just two videos, rapper and singer Bailee Moore will debut her first commercial single on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 3:00 PM EDT on the myISH Music Channel.
The myISH Music Channel, a new YouTube channel dedicated to discovering what's next in music, acts as an incubator for nurturing new talent and gives breakout stars the platform to shine before they hit the mainstream.
Bailee Moore initially found success with the viral YouTube video "White Girl Raps Fast," which rapidly racked up nearly 570,000 views and gained the attention of Yahoo!, E! News, and The Washington Post.
"I've always loved singing, and I've always loved rap music," says Bailee, a 21-year-old college student who attends Ohio University.
"Once I began to focus on fusing those two passions, the music started to flow naturally."
After months of writing, recording, and performing, Bailee decided to premiere the video on myISH because of the channel's innovative strategies and growing popularity.
Halo at Home is an upbeat song that showcases Bailee's dynamic personality as well as her singing and rapping ability.
Bailee Moore - Halo at Home - Official Music Video:
Bailee and her independent record label, Allon Music Group, enlisted the help of several serious music professionals on the recording, including production by Dan Zavaro (Chris Webby), mixing by DJ Swivel (Beyonce, Tiesto), and mastering by Chris Gehringer (Lady Gaga, Drake, Mac Miller).
Single song downloads of Halo at Home will be available later in the month on iTunes, Spotify, and all other digital distribution platforms.
The music video includes footage from Bailee's live performance at 9Fest, a one-day festival attended by 13,000 people in Athens, Ohio, where Bailee performed alongside Timeflies, Chip Tha Ripper, and 12th Planet.
"Once I got in the studio and also started to perform live, the experience became addictive," Bailee says. "I'm so excited to have this opportunity to make the kind of music I like - music that makes people happy," says the girl who Barstool U calls a "Smokeshow."
It's been a big year for Bailee Moore, even before the release of Halo at Home. Billboard-affiliated Next Big Sound recently ranked Bailee the Number 6 fastest accelerating artist in the world for social media. She plans to keep the momentum going by releasing another single later this Summer and an EP in the Fall.
Bailee will also be opening for The Cool Kids at Cincinnati's Fountain Square on Saturday, August 4th.
