Bat For Lashes - aka Natasha Khan - has released the stunning new song "Laura" from the highly-anticipated third album, The Haunted Man, which is set for release on October 23rd, 2012 in the U.S. via EMI's Capitol Records.

"Laura", which Pitchfork immediately named Best New Track, is available today through digital music stores and streaming services. In addition, you can now watch the heart-wrenching video below, here on BandWeblogs.com.

The striking album artwork for The Haunted Man has also been revealed (above). Shot by the revered photographer Ryan McGinley, known for his naturalistic imagery, Natasha appears naked and carrying a man around her shoulders.

Bat for Lashes first captured hearts back in 2006, and has since then been nominated for two Mercury Music Prizes (2006's Fur and Gold and 2009's Two Suns), toured with Coldplay in 2010, collaborated with Beck to write a song for the Twilight film, Eclipse, headlined two sold out shows at the Sydney Opera House in June 2011 and covered Depeche Mode's "Strangelove" for Gucci's Guilty campaign, released on limited release on 7" vinyl for this year's Record Store Day.
