One of the breakthrough bands of the year, 2:54 (sisters Hannah and Colette Thurlow), have been announced as support for The xx on their highly-anticipated US tour in October.

They play seven dates together, starting in LA and winding up in Milwaukee, following the release of their self-titled debut album in May on Fat Possum, and after also being personally invited by The xx to support them on their European comeback tour in September.

It's been an amazing year for 2:54 so far, in June they completed a US headline tour, followed by a run of high-profile summer festival slots all around Europe, not to mention a slew of fevered acclaim for their debut LP.

This return to the US also follows the release of their latest single "Sugar" in late September, and will represent another amazing chapter in what's been a momentous 2012 for 2:54.
