Columbia Records recording artist Brandi Carlile will give her new single, "Keep Your Heart Young," its television debut on Conan on Thursday, November 8, 2012.

"Keep Your Heart Young" is the second single from her Top 10 album, Bear Creek, and follows the Top 5 Triple A radio hit "That Wasn't Me."

"Hard Way Home," another track from Bear Creek was tapped for a recent episode of The CW's "Hart of Dixie" and "Raise Hell" was featured in the Travel Channel's "No Reservations" with host Anthony Bourdain.

Carlile kicks off the fall leg of her 2012 tour this Thursday, October 11th, at the Knitting Factory in Spokane, WA with Blitzen Trapper opening from October 14 through November 2. She will play two shows at the Beacon Theatre in New York City (10/28, 29). She will also play three special hometown shows with the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall, where she recorded her first live album. The November 23rd and 24th concerts will include her band, while the November 25th show will be an acoustic performance.

On November 30th, Carlile will appear at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul along with top-touring comedian Maria Bamford in an episode of "Wits," a live public radio show from American Public Media that combines music, comedy and conversation. For details and tickets, go to mpr.org/wits. She'll return to the Twin Cities for two year-end shows at the Varsity Theatre in Minneapolis on December 30th (sold out) and 31st. See below for itinerary or visit her official website for the latest information.

"From the moment she stepped on stage, Carlile had the audience in her pocket, wailing away on her acoustic guitar on a fiery 'Raise Hell' to open the show," said The Denver Post's Reverb in a review of her summer headline show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. "There's just something about the way Brandi Carlile sings that can leave people rapt, spellbound by her bell-like tone and hanging on her gently effective turns of phrase," noted the Orange County Register while The Boston Globe observed: "Carlile's too good a singer to simply howl her way through an entire concert...the songs and arrangements took full advantage of the shifting dynamics of her vocals."

The first-ever "GRAMMY U Songwriting Master Classes with Brandi Carlile" will be offered in five cities along the tour route - Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York City, Oakland and Los Angeles. Carlile is joining forces with GRAMMY U to initiate this brand new program, which gives up-and-coming songwriters an opportunity to hone their skills in a small group setting. After observing Carlile's soundcheck, students will participate in a session with Brandi and her bandmates/writing partners Tim and Phil Hanseroth, who will discuss how they approach the songwriting process. Thereafter, the songwriters will be broken into even smaller groups to work on their own material with Brandi, Tim or Phil. Further details are available at grammy365.com/grammy-u.

Carlile has sold one million albums worldwide to date and more than one million digital singles. Her 2005 self-titled debut landed her on Rolling Stone's Top 10 list of artists to watch and she has steadily built a loyal fanbase, won over by her critically acclaimed albums and her band's non-stop touring. Her sophomore album, 2007's The Story, was produced by T Bone Burnett and elicited praise from Elton John, who appeared on a track on her 2009 album, Give Up the Ghost, which was produced by Rick Rubin and debuted at No. 26 on The Billboard 200. In 2011 she released her first live album, Live at Benaroya Hall with the Seattle Symphony.

Carlile has toured with such artists as Dave Matthews Band, Ray LaMontagne, Chris Isaak, The Avett Brothers and Sheryl Crow and her songs have been heard in Grey's Anatomy, The Good Wife, American Idol, and Parenthood.
